Could a person ever not wish one to be successful?

For positive reasons? It’s the same as with control—for example, the way mothers control their kids; it’s obviously not to harm them. But how is it in the adult world? Or do we know 100% that it’s rooted in malice and things like that?

If it's positive it won't corrupt you but the losing you part could very well be the reason
