Parents, if you have had at least one child of each sex, have you been more protective of your boy, of your girl, or no difference?

I have never had children. I have observed other parents and noted some differences in how attentive they are to their children. I am NOT suggesting that most parents favor one sex and neglect the other. I am just suspecting that both moms and dads may feel slightly more protective towards their little girls. . . but I might have it totally wrong, so you tell me.

A father watches over his daughters much more than his sons. I admit that I am guilty of that.

I really depends on what's happening, and what they're doing. I've been protected of my son , i've been more protected of my daughter
My son is 6 foot 5 " '6 foot 6." And can handle himself, but of course you're going to worry. Boys will be boys

My daughter too can handle herself. She's smart.
And and would hope that she has a very good foundation, which I know she does underneath.
And she too can take care of herself. But it's not the same. I guess it is but i' just never want anything to happen to either one of them

I'm no parent as of yet, but I'd like to believe that if I were to have children, I would treat them as fairly as possible.

I would observe and see their individual personalities and see if I can play rough with both. If the boy likes rough play, I'd play rough him him. And if not, I won't. Same with the girl.

I would raise them to both do chores regularly. Cleaning and cooking would be done equally. I'd start teaching them both to cook around 10 years old.

I'd teach them to do their own research on things and not take anyone's word as the truth without confirming it themselves, including myself.

I'd let them explore their passions and choose whatever sports or activities they want to take part in, or whatever instruments they want to try.

I'd encourage them to pursue things I see they have a talent for, but not with an iron hand.

It’s absolutely a fact that people are more protective of females than they are of males. That goes for all ages, relationships and dynamics. It’s all but universal.
Most people are more protective of grown women than they are of little boys. That’s at the core of the abortion issue. Women’s privilege supersedes all others’ fundamental rights.

It depends on the child, not the gender.

Protection isn’t about stereotypes, it’s about personality, needs, and circumstances.

Some children require guidance, others boundaries, and some both regardless of being a boy or girl.

True care adapts, observes, and supports growth without being limiting.

Oops I clicked don't have children. I do. But two girls.

My sister has a boy and girl and I feel gave way more time to the girl. But maybe they just mum and daughter share more in common things like shopping and spa days and make up.

Speaking as one child in a two-child household where there was one of each. We both thought the other was the favored child as neither parent ever said anything negative about the other sibling.
