When going out drinking with your friends how much do you spend on drinks alone?

Depending on the place and how many we are the number could vary quite a bit


But typically if we plan on having drunken fun we usually end up at someone’s place with some drinks for a supermarket
Much cheaper if you want to overdo it


I rarely do that though


Typically I exercise some restraint


But at a company function when it’s all paid for I can let loose for example (still ensuring my colleagues never see me wasted)

If it’s someone’s bday we spend… If it’s just a random after work bev and snacks perhaps $40 total with tip and tax.

I don't know not a big drinker but since I don't like beer and drink mudslides or white Russians when I do drink $50 to $100

I never socialize with alcohol as a focus. It’s pretty much food , entertainment / activity with a few drinks just to unwind a little. That being said decent spirits & Beers are not cheap. My budget for an evening / day of socializing would be about £250 to £300 with maybe up to a quarter of that on alcohol.


I’d much rather a good meal / entertainment / activity as opposed to pissing it against a wall.

I gave up alcohol 15 years ago. I gave up going out 10 years ago. now I just do anti social things like going to friends houses. This has gotta change.

Not my thing. On the rare occasion I do go out to such an event, I will order tonic water.
