Thoughts on child safe phones? Are they legit?

I could think it's better than nothing, but I don't, lol. Even a deep censorship system would not convince me because...
Internet is not for kids. Internet is not a safe place.
To me, even a restricted access feels like we're catapulting them into the abyss, forcing them to swallow so many pills that make no sense. Because of how brutally absurd the world becomes when we have access to everyone's discourse 24/7. I don't even think about traditionally offensive content yet, I'm just thinking of how having access to anyone's opinion is already impossibly overwhelming. That's my first world's opinion. Many kids on this planet don't even need internet access to experience the ordinary horrors of the world.
I am surprised you have a cogent and ethical view on this, based on stuff I’ve seen you post.
Hmmm 🤔 I agree
I'm equally surprised about your perception of what I post lol
We need them, internet ID laws are kind of a good thing because no one seems to be monitoring there children’s internet activity.
the downside is government’s imprisoning or fining people for antigovernment speech someday and other related issues. However, kids need protected and patents are failing in that aspect big time
I think parents are supposed to do the monitoring lol. Why should all adults suffer because parents are lazy? Hmm
Because at this point it seems like almost all kids are suffering and thus becoming damaged adults that continued the bullshit

Sounds like some Uk bs, rather than having actual good parents teach their kids to be responsible just solve the problem with tech instead.
Bro, that ship has sailed unfortunately. I personally believe phones are more dangerous than giving your kids guns because where I grew up we all had guns growing up.
Porn is everywhere, thousands of different viewpoints, chaotic stuff that kills one’s ability to pay attention live in the moment and live in their own skin comfortably, even the most mild stuff is still designed for a five second attention span and does nothing to increase that span only decrease it with a deluge of nonsensical entertainment.
On second thought the kids these days shouldn’t have access to guns either. I’m just saying the damage they do to society when parents aren’t around to supervise them teach them skills they need to navigate the technology in a positive way, are the same
@MikeMcMansion Pfft I can tell you I'm fine, it wasn't the internet that ever screwed me up you can thank my mother for the reasons I'm crazy. Internet was a great escape and helped me cope a lot, I see it only being harmful to restrict it. Without it I can tell you there was a much higher chance I wouldn't be here today.
And porn? Yeah does nothing. Funnily enough me seeing boobs or whatever online when I was younger didn't warp me in anyway. I don't see any point in such thing being restricted at all but ya know government wants to get more information on what we watch, and ban things even for adults nvm kids.
And you can try rationalize oh why such example of this is okay to ban but then... guess what where does that stop? It becomes one thing to the next thing until you realize everything is hard to access, or banned and even worse enables criminal activity as now more try get into the black market to access such things that were never illegal.
There's a reason why prohibition on alcohol backfired, and so will cigs as they try to ban those too. Funny old Uk thinking that saying anyone born after 2009 won't be allowed to buy cigs... as if that would ever work and making it so in the future a 30 year old guy can't buy cigs? Think how dumb that sounds.
We need less restrictions not more, and we need more education to explain the positives and negatives and allow freedom to take action based upon that.
We need more biological two parent households. We need a better economy that doesn’t worship money and GDP. We need common sense restrictions and protecting kids starts with lauding and rewarding traditional families.
Porn is garbage and needs outright banned. Kids shouldn’t be on the internet unless its to submit homework or for studying. Gaming online should be 16 and up or up to the state or with parental supervision.
I understand your points. The gun issue is at the heart of it, gun rights are to protect common people, ensure justice, secure the reigns of government from tyranny/the government. Brain rot online can stay online with adults not in the hands of kids.
Funny thing about tobacco is that Russia is using the template you mentioned to eventually ban it - theoretically, while they are loosening their firearm restrictions.
@MikeMcMansion I definitely get your point about porn. There's too much access to it nowadays. We always had porn and most of it is derogatory, but hereby you might have been going back and forth with a twitter mutual only to find porn clips on your foryou page, just because you tweeted once about backshots and edging.
With the widespread social media, people are losing the elegance of language itself. I definitely wouldn't like reading Catcher in The Rye if the protagonist was generated alpha lmao
"We need less restrictions not more" we need less ads man
Onlyfans would soarrrr
Immediate consequences? Nothing, regular guys will shut up or go riot with t-formers and look weak and pathetic in doing so.
Secondary, will be back logged courts and states threatening succession, also looking pathetic and weak to the world in doing so.
States will become porno-sanctuary states - also looking even more weak and more pathetic by doing so
The states with the best gun rights and self defense laws will be the strongest supporters of such laws
With the Exception of Texas (possibly)
Only fans plummet
@MikeMcMansion Well that's explains it, you really don't see what would happen and I hope for your case you never find out.
Though it wouldn't effect you I suppose then again I don't believe for one moment you don't deluge in vulgar things but let's go with you don't. Yeah it won't effect you but ya know it will effect society very much in a way that I hope you never have to realize.
Positive ways. Imagine regular porn being treated with the same regard as the worst. People will stay away, only creeps would partake and get caught.
Society would begin to heal
The prevalence would significantly diminish, for the most part after a few generations, the negative side effects on society often resulted would decrease as well.
@MikeMcMansion History proves that not to be true also it the consequences would be dire enough that the hypothetical generations wouldn't come to exist as we'd have it back after everyone realizes what a mistake that was.
Suppress an outlet for urges and well you'll find out what happens when the dam breaks.
But if you have more faith in humanity, and haven't learnt from a history or our psychology what we are which is simply animals with cravings that porn subsides then you can keep that faith.
But myself I have no such faith in humanity.
No, you get whooped by Dad.
Or get arrested and punished, or rounded up by the community.
There are consequences to this degenerate society, and we should teach consequences earlier through decent upbringings in decent communities.
The idea isn't bad but there is a problem with security of apps which offer all those desired function. Collecting user data is why most apps are created for and collecting data of children is illegal in most countries. Another issue is hardware. Phones are status objects. I can just remember as my cousin drilled relentlessly a hole in butts of her parents to get an new Iphone. I don't think those kid will accept a bulky Panzer phone
They can be legit, but children will eventually work their way around it. Their friends will tinker with it and read things online how to crack the security.
The only child safe phone is one without battery.
