Is it a red flag that my boyfriend didn’t treat my birthday as special?

We went to Mideval Times for my birthday dinner. He made a huge deal about leaving early cause he didn't enjoy the show. Im in a wheelchair so felt like I had to agree cause he's the one who drove and paid but it was my birthday. We didn't even look around at the lobby, he wheeled me straight out, missing the end of the show and everything. It didn't seem like he cared it was for my birthday. Right now we're even watching what he wants to watch on my birthday morning. I feel like he doesn't care its my birthday. And Mideval times was my gift cause it was so much money. I feel the rose given to me by our knight was more of a gift than his.

It is indeed a huge red flag. He knew beforehand that he would take you to this show, yet he pressed you to leave before the end and before the actual birthday present was fully "consumed".

It is very selfish from him to act the way he did, knowing that it was something for YOU to enjoy in the first place. It is like if you show a toy to a toddler and after touching it, you remove it from him.

To me, his behavior is the one of a rotten kid that does not know how to behave and he should apologize at once for his behavior. Not tomorrow, not the day after tomorrow but right now and offer some kind of compensation for his misbehavior.

I didn't even know Midlevel Times was still in business. I was there once and everyone ate with their hands just like back then. It was interesting. He was probably more interested in all the wenches than in you. 🤔

Did you communicate to him any of your feelings about staying or how big it should be? You say you had to agree, but you didn't. You should be able to share your feelings with your boyfriend.
