My boyfriend didn't get me anything for my birthday? Is this a red flag?

My boyfriend of almost 10 months didn't get me anything for my birthday. My birthday was about over a week ago and he did say happy birthday to me on the day of it (we couldn't see each other in person, but he was nice enough to message me it). But then the next few times he saw me recently he didn't give me anything? What's weird is that a few days before my birthday, he initiated or hinted that he was going to give me a present. But he never brought anything up since then.
Honestly my friends and everyone are making it a big deal, but is it really? And if it is, how should I confront him?

Tbh you just need to confront him bc a relationship is based on honesty. I read everyone’s comments. It could possibly be that since he don’t care about receiving gifts for his bday, he may think it’s the same for you. However, if that’s the case, he needs to know that YOU would still like him to give you something bc it means something special to you coming from your s/o. tell him how you really feel too. So he knows how it affected you and why it’s impt to you.

I’m only almost 6 months with my current boyfriend.. my bday is in one week from now. He already got me something. He was so excited he gave me my first gift already XD lol. He told me he has something plan for me. But I don't know if it’s bc on his bday (a few weeks ago), I also went ALL out for him and it was the first time he has ever received that kind of bday from someone. So it makes me feel like that’s why he wants to go all out for me bc he realized how much it means to have someone do that and he wanna return it bc he knows it mean something to me. Just tryna have you see that it’s about communication, give and take, and showing how much you care for someone for them to do the same in return :)

Anyone in your position will be upset. Though receiving the present is joyous, it's the thought that he put into when getting it that really matters, not the value of the present. It shows that he cares about the relationship and is thinking about you.
Ask (not interrogate) him about it. I don't think he has the right to be angry when you asked.

No just wait for like 2 days more, maybe he didn’t have enmity money? If he still didn’t give you anything then it’s better to tell him that you got a little bit disappointed that you didn’t get a gift from the one you really love. I really think you should confront him about it

It's lazy but doesn't mean he doesn't adore you.
Some guys just don't value these events so don't put in the effort unless they're pushed into it. Then it becomes conformant behaviour.
