Have you ever experienced the grief of outliving a child or grandchild?

First, I only mention she's a political figure because it's mentioned in the article, for me it's irrelevant. Do not care. She's a human.

But a Michigan law maker Debbie Dingell is returning home after the loss of her 12 year old granddaughter. That has to be a special kind of hell to outlive a child let alone a grandchild. I cannot imagine her pain. I hope and pray her and her family are able to get through it.

I have not. I know long time ago, my uncles first child did not survive… it was kinda normal back then.
my hubbys oldest brother was born with an illness… he eventually passed at 19.
when I met my hubby here on gag… and started to date… we had a lot of issues… turned out it’s emotional neglect because his belated mom was so worried about her first born.. so hard on her to care for 4 kids.
as I get older… I learn to let go of human feelings of pain, grief… I explain to my kids… if something happens to me they are in good hands and it’s time for me to leave earth.
if one of my loved ones go (me kids)… it’s their time to go.. and they have live their best life here and have done the best and appreciate what they had. I’m sure I will feel pain… but probably at ease at this point if my life. We can’t beat nature…
