When boyfriend keeps blowing you off for his friends?

So I have been with this guy for over a year and he claims that he sees me in his future but lately when we have made plans he will blow me off to go hang out with his friends. Or if we have plans to hang out and something else comes up. He won't tell me about it until I have been waiting around for him for hours. I have talked to him about it and let him know that it feels like he is taking me for granted when he behaves like these. He says he will work on it and that he does appreciate me. Yet not even a week later he is doing the same thing. What does this mean? Does he really want to be with me? Will ending it be the only way he will truly realizes what he has?

From my experience is seems like he does not want to be together anymore or does not value the relationship like he used to. That is exactly how my ex acted before she dumped me, and how I acted before I dumped a different ex. In both cases the dumpee asked the dumper if they wanted to stay together and they got a yes, but then were dumped soon after. This is also how my friends act before they break up with their significant other.

I'm NOT saying he for sure wants to break up. He could be going through some personal problems or family problems. I would ask him what's up and be straight with him about how you feel and that you really value the relationship. IMO the more blunt you are the better chance you will get a straight answer.

If you have spoken to him about it and he has not changed his way I would say that it's pretty hurtful and clear that this guy doesn't value the relationship like he may have once before. I would suggest a break for a while.
