Disclaimer: Remember that every woman is different, and tall pumps aren’t the last word in style. If you feel more comfortable wearing only heeled booties or even not wearing heels at all, it’s completely your prerogative and it's perfectly fine. Decorative flats can make just as much of a statement as high heels!
- So basically I am dedicating this to Women that are planing to wear heels and are not sure if they can really make it without tripping over or without feeling the burning pain ...
But allow me to help you out Ladies <3 (and some Gents of course)
High Heels are a Girls best friend (or some Girls worst Enemy so it's understandable) for various reasons, for helping you stand taller, look slimmer, feel more confident, or just to fit in the particular Event ... or just because somebody likes walking in them (me)
I am a High Heel Fan, and not to brag but honestly, I can walk in High Heels for hours without even complaining, and a lot ask me how do I freaking manage to walk fearlessly back and forth as if they are sneakers ... and I say:
Well, it takes a lot of practice and a little bit of healthy choices -;Natured
Walking in sky-high heels can be a little tricky, especially if you're not used to it.
I'm about to list these helpful tips and you'll be strutting like a catwalk model in 5-inch stilettos in no time!
Obviously, if you are planing to start wearing them, trust me, I hated High Heels and I would not put them on not even for Prom in High-School, so I've been there.
But now working at the office, and having a boyfriend that loves high heels, and having one event after the other that requires High Heels, i sort of thought I'd satisfy all of them, and I actually ended up satisfying myself more because I loved walking in them ... !!!
"It was love at first walk"
1. Low Heel - WedgesThe taller the heel, the shorter the stride ends up being, your Feet need an introduction to high heels, so I would recommend if you are a beginner to start wearing either Wedges (like on the picture) they are super easy to walk on, or high heels that are not that high ... but medium. So your feet starts adapting. Make sure to make small steps while you walk and choose carefully your first heels.
2. Walk from heel to toe.
The aim is to walk as normally as possible in your high heels. Put your heel to the ground first, followed smoothly by your toes. Then, once your weight is on the balls of your feet, shift your weight forward as if you're walking on your tip toes, and push forward for the next step. Don't walk forcefully, take it easy.
3. Improve your posture
Imagine there is a piece of invisible string holding your head upright—your head should be in line with your spine and your chin should be parallel with the floor.Try not to look down. High heels like the ones on the picture are really comfortable, because they hold your feet in control because of the ankle strap. Usually High heels like these are way more easy to walk on and they actually look cute :)
4. Size Matters
You have to make sure your heels (or any shoe, for that matter) are the proper size. If they're too big, your foot will slide around awkwardly and it's so uncomfortable. Too small and your foot will feel cramped which is even worse, which will make walking a living hell. For the best fit, get your foot sized directly at the shop, ask for help, and don't order shoes online ... anything but not shoes ...
5. Take Time-OutsWhenever and wherever you can, sit, sit, sit
!! Especially the first times, and DON'T take off your shoes if you plan on putting them back on, it will make it worse, keep some flats in your bag if you know the night is long, I don't want you to walk around barefoot Ladies -_- ... WHY? Because your feet will SWELL UP even more, and your elephant foot won't fit in that shoe anymore. .. so SIT relax, stretch and make small steps... remember small steps are very important.
6. Look For Sturdy Soles
Make sure your heel has shock-absorbing features like an elevated sole and padded footbed. Plus, a rounded toe is always more comfortable than a pointed one, and they look better anyways ... even if the pointed ones seem to be In now but ... they look ridiculous to me...
7. Break In The BottomsScratch the bottom of your soles with sandpaper. Trust me, usually new shoes slip if they have a really flat bottom, so scratch the bottom in that case with sandpaper even if it sounds weird but you will feel way more secure and stable in your heels.
8. Pads There are a lot of products available at the pharmacy or grocery stores that'll give your feet some extra support. The metatarsal or ball of the foot pads, they are important, since the ball of your foot suffers the most and has to sort of carry your whole weight, make it at least sit on a nice soft pad, it works wonders, make sure the pads are not TOO THICK or else your shoe will be too tight..
9. Love your Feet
Moisturizing your feet should be your number one priority especially after a hard day. Usually the best time to apply a moisturizer is after a shower and before bed. Tired feet love nothing more than a gentle massage to get the circulation flowing and to smooth out any tensions, treat them poor feet, and appreciate them.
So, basically following these rules, i am able to walk run crawl do whatever with my heels, another tip I want to give you is a about the heel itself, the thicker it is, the easier it is to walk on, my favorites to walk on are the ones you see on the gif above. They look spectacular in every color and you can wear them to every event.
I hope I could help somebody out there and wish you an amazing day.

How To Walk in High Heels -Treat Your Feet With Respect-
DUH! Another great MyTake! Natured is unstoppable!
I'm not a woman but i have knowledge on my own regarding high-heels and i am so agree with one of the messages you're trying to send across: "It doesn't necessarily hurt if you know what to wear and how to wear it" Thus i find your article very informative and useful.
So i'm gonna actually save your article in my gallery of "Notes" not just to re-read it myself to memorize it in order to expand my knowledge on these tips because i believe it's a complete gathering but also for advising others when needed. Hopefully i have the copyrights!! :) lol!
These are very good tips that I follow on a regular basis. I wear heels a lot for my work and also outside of work on occasion. One thing that's a definite that you mentioned is the care of your feet and legs after a long day.
It was a joy reading your article! I have trouble with heels. My feet have a high arch and are rather narrow. When I wear flats I tend to put all my weight on my heels. So the balls of my feet hurt a lot with high heels. I'm not sure which type of heels to get
Love it and the shoes! I wear heels when I go out with my friends most of the time because being only 5' makes dancing with taller people weird. I love my 5" and 6" heels death! These are all great tips. The only night I took my heels off was when the whole club was covered in foam and I was so drunk my friend made me take them off so I wouldn't slip (and I definitely didn't put them back on after that). It's definitely possible to wear heels all night if you wear them right
Haha thanks for the explanation from the export. You know, we secretly like it when a girl came to a party with these impressive stilettos and after an hour or three she parades through the room bare feet :D To say it in your words, they have some trouble with their elephant feet hahaha...
I am sure they will lmao, and personally I like woman wearing high heels yeah it looks so feminine but dont wear high heels over 10 cm please cause they look funny and like a flamingo lol.
i really think women shouldn't wear heels unless they're going to a wedding or like the oscars or something, they're hard on their feet and posture and i think girls look just as hot in sneakers as heels tbh
Step 10: Make sure you have a guy ready to rub your feet at the end of the night. Also an important step! Although I guess that can be included in step 9 but still. Lmao.
I like the last ones in the gift too but I wonder if they would be too high? I hardly find those in low cuts. I started following your tips but its seems that my feet hit the ground heavy. What am I doing wrong? thanks
Very informative MyTake :) too often I see young women walking bent kneed in heels or boots, ladies ladies ladies :) stand up straight and learn to walk
Nice mytake. That is so cool you can walk in heels with no problem. Lol great advice. You make it seem so easy and simple to do.😀

I love High Heels and usually I don't have a problem to walk with them but sometimes I have problems with the sizes and I think I should follow your rule and measure my shoe size correctly. Thank you for another amazing take @natured
