Points taken but no offense intended by it at all. Society wants women to believe they NEED make up to be attractive, that they're UGLY without it so they'll keep buying it (a lot of women say this, that they feel ugly without it), and all we're saying is that's not the case at all. It's not NEEDED. If you want/choose to wear it, fine.
Now granted, they way some guys say this might be lacking, but most guys aren't looking to offend or make up upset by it.
1. Why do women wear make up then? If it's not to impress guys then why wear it? "oh i've just wok-" no one is going to see you when you have woken up. And how can you "wear it for me"? You can't see your face other than in the mirror. You going to sit in front of a mirror all day?
2. Why do you care about my opinion? It's my opinion, not yours.
3. I've seen girls without make-up, they definitely look a gorillion times better without trying to look like Krusty the Clown. 4. I think saying someone looks naturally beautiful without putting shit on your face is a nice compliment. 5. Ah yes, not being able to say to someone "ya know ya look better without that clown shit on your face"
People don't understand the difference is for themselves and others/society. That's like saying I wear stylish clothes for myself. No you don't. You do it to feel impressive/less vulnerable around others.
I still like most women (i only speak for those I've seen with and without) with minimal to no make up. Plus i do agree its not a compliment to some but when one of those girls asks me: "how do i look" i can and will probably say "too much makeup". Just stating personal opinion.
Wow. The negativity in this take is outrageous lol. I'd be glad to hear if a guy likes how I look without makeup. It's not in any way an insincere compliment... Most guys mean what they say and they don't even care about the little imperfections. I'm not saying that guys don't like girls with makeup on too, I'm saying you've got to fix your attitude or you're not gonna get any guys interested in you.
I am ALL ABOUT sexism and arrogance - it's built in. Like it or lump it. :) It's a learning moment - you either get something out of the lesson or shut down. Your choice.
I've been married for more than double the years you've even been on the planet. Been on both sides of the cheating fence. I have live more life than you've even had the breath of life. So STFU and listen or GTFO.
You have to be really arrogant in order to think that the other sex or 50% of the world, dresses up to look good for you. Now that's putting yourself on a pedestal.
Women ARE NOT better looking than men without makeup Their are sooo many gorgeous men and then there's all the "gorgeous" women who look like pure shit without makeup
Sorry, but there are only a few naturally gorgeous women without surgery Or some type of make up
Honestly I do take it as a compliment. Its like me telling a guy he looks more handsome when he shaves. Did he shave for me? No, but its just a compliment and observation which will in most cases put a smile on his face.😊
Lol some people tell me I look more beautiful than any women. I disagree. But I will always love and adore our females, the best thing to ever happen to us. Cutest humans ever!
... if only they could let go of the wrong universal description of us.
Okay, so I'm curious do you take your advice and remember to never offer your opinion of what makes a guy look attractive? If you really need to be insulated from some so innocuous you might as well shut yourself in and become a hermit.
Personally when I wear make up it's for men and many girls do it too. Why don't they wear it at home then? If it's just for them? And it's a compliment, it mean he like you when you're natural and doesn't need to put make up...
Some women look good with make-up and without it, some only look good only with make-up or only without it. That's only from my point of view, maybe others have different oppinionss
I agree with the secound third and fourth opinion, but i have a hard time beliving your first opinion. I mean there is no reason to make yourself look pretty if it weren't for the fact that you care about other peoples opinion of how you look.
How about because it makes me FEEL pretty? Honestly, why would I bother putting shit on my face for half an hour because if it's just for someone else? That'd make me insecure, wouldn't it.
Well think about it, why do you even care about looking pretty. The answer for all of us is because we care about what other people think of us. Most of us care about what other people think. That's why we dress the way we do, talk the way we do, act the way we do, consciously or subconsciously. It's just human nature and it dosen't mean that we are insecure.
I do agree with you that telling someone "Ilike you better without make-up." is mean and unecessary. But applying make up to one's face is nevertheless caring about what other people think.

Actually, make up is designed to extenuate the features and hide the flaws on a female to attract mates.
www.psychologytoday.com/.../5-research-backed-reasons-we-wear-makeup
But hey, we'll just blame it on men because men have no right to make opinions on a woman's body.
Today's ''equality''
I wear it for me too. I don't know any woman who wears it for men.
Do you know any women?
@Stamps Yes indeed. Do you?
@peachblossomluck
Well, most girls I know use make-up to look good in public, not ''just for themselves''.
@Stamps I wear make up around the house.
People don't understand the difference is for themselves and others/society. That's like saying I wear stylish clothes for myself. No you don't. You do it to feel impressive/less vulnerable around others.
@Caaarl Make up and clothes are an art form. They are a passion for some, without any extra motive involved.
"Some" not the majority. Just because someone enjoys the act of putting make up on or styling someone else doesn't mean that they only do it for them.

First off @NerdInDenial comment.
Secondly o look another special snowflake child who thinks she's right about everything, gee what a surprise.
Stop bitching and wining and losing your shit because a guy pays you a compliment.
FYI the whole point of makeup is to hide a persons flaws and highlight their existing features, and to attract a mate, partner.

Oh dear... another special snowflake. :)
Honey, EVERYTHING you do is to impress the guys. Otherwise you wouldn't even get up in the morning. LOL
MEN are who define 'beauty' and 'fashion trends'. If the guys didn't like it then it would not be popular. It's always been that way. [shrug]
Wow. You really are so arrogant you think 50% of people get up in the morning to impress you? Die.
And when you have virtually nothing to base an opinion on then you resort to shaming and personal attacks. FAIL
You're simply clueless about normal man-woman attraction and what drives their actions.
Yeah, i'm sure i got it all wrong ans you're not sexust&arrogant. Scooch over old man.
I am ALL ABOUT sexism and arrogance - it's built in. Like it or lump it. :)

1.) Yes you do. I've been over this before.
2.) You should if you want to be attractive to guys.
3.) No but I have enough female friends that I've become pretty decent at guessing.
4.) I'm telling them they don't need to try to make themselves look better because I think they already look smoking without it all.
5.) Well that's a crying shame. Why do I need your permission to give my opinion? I don't.
NEXT!!!

I agree. People should look and dress how they ant as long as it is not offensive. I personally think girls look great with some make-up on.

You sound like some crazy feminist. No wonder you are single.
Your name is I eat 70s bush.. I highly doubt you're hittinh up any good ladies.
Furthermore my worth is not measured by who i'm with so your comment just kinda makes me go ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I just fuck Backpage girls and like my freedom to do so (single for 12 years and never going back). Like everything else you get what you pay for.
haha I like your answer haha awesome.

As I said, FEEL pretty, not LOOK pretty. You can only look pretty to a limited group of people, feeling pretty is something you don't do for others.
I wear make up for myself.
