As we all know, ever since the fucking ancient times Asians love being fair as it represents many good things. So, our foundation are all pretty fair shades.

1. westerners buying their foundation then complaining about the shade range.

Well bitch if you're gonna buy our shit then you respect our choices. Sorry honey we aren't going to make shades that nobody else here is gonna buy just to accommodate to your ass. I mean, most westerners use western brands for foundation. The only time I see y'all use Asian foundations are for reviews.

2. Telling us to love ourselves and stop hating our skin colour.

God we do not hate our skin colour please. We just like the look of white skin. HOW ABOUT YOU, stop tanning the shit out of yourself and love yourself alright? :") please stop hating on ur skin!!!! Yes, it's very typical in Korea to get plastic surgery. And all the comments of "please love yourself" comes flooding in. I guess the word "Westerner" in your world is code for white people, but there are more than just white people who are westerners. The anger level radiating off of this take is palpable. I mean, just read it back to yourself and imagine 'this take' showed up at your doorstep saying all this to you---are you going to be like, oh, cool, you know, you're right, I totally get your point? Just take a deep breath. This can't be the worst of life's problems. You have said that it shouldn't matter because according to you, that is what Asians prefer, and one can assume some whites prefer to be tan. Okay, so what does it matter--you said it's not going to stop, this wanting to be fair for Asians, so it shouldn't matter what someone not of your culture feels about it, because perhaps it's not for them to understand why you like it. And again, I'll point out to you, that every culture INCLUDING your own criticizes everyone else for something or other, especially when it comes to ideas of beauty, so take it all with a grain of salt, and just do you, and don't worry about it.

You are absolutely right. White girls are killing themselves tanning their skin and turning it into leather. When they hit their thirties they will look ugly as sin. Have you seen profiles on match. com or other personals websites from white girls in their thirties? DAMN they look terrible. White girls look good until their late twenties, then they hit the wall and look terrible. Asian women on the other hand look like they're in their twenties when they're in their forties. And it's all because white girls love the tanning booths, and Asian gals avoid tanning whenever possible.

Woah triggered... I'm not from East Asia which is I'm assuming where you're from because you mention Korea. I am from Southeast Asia and it isn't a very big issue but it is an issue all the same of not being a skin colour that is held as the "standard of beauty," which is to be pale like those or Caucasians and Eastern Asians. However, many in SEA are not that skin colour and instead are bombarded with skin lightening promotions on tv, billboards, commercials, newspapers of tablets, injections, and a variety of other products to whiten one's skin. A little personal story, in high school I was an honor student and to congratulate me on my academic achievement my mom offered to pay for services to bleach or whiten my skin. I was absolutely horrified and rejected the offer. My mom has a more indochinese look so she can pass and has been mistaken for East Asian when visiting China and Japan. However, I look more Southeast Asian and have the same skin tone. It shocked me that although skin colour was never really a topic of discussion culturally it was expected that I would want to fit into the Asian beauty standards which includes white skin. Although, I understand your position on the hypocrasy of people promoting self love while not accepting themselves and altering their looks to fit a societal standard. Asian culture in general is not faultless as well. The beauty industries promote a standard for women to strive to become because we are not naturally born that way. We wear make up, follow trends and etc because of what society deems as culturally appropriate and acceptable for a person to look like. I dont think it is one race's problem or one culture's problem, but an issue that plagues beauty industries worldwide.
