1. Begin With a Clean, Fresh Face

Start out with a clean face, using a product for your skin type.

To make sure your face is naturally clear and smooth.

2. Use a Primer

Start by using a primer or multipurpose CC or BB cream with light reflecting formulas that hydrate as well as smooth the texture of the skin, minimize fine lines and pores and even skin tone. Let the product absorb before moving on to Step 3.

3. Apply Concealer if Needed

If you need concealer, just use on areas where needed. Pat on. Don’t rub.

4. Use a Sheer Foundation or Tinted Moisturizer

Use a foundation that perfectly matches your natural skin tone, preferably a tinted moisturizer or a sheer foundation for a more natural look. Apply foundation only on areas that need coverage.

5. Add a Natural Flush to the Cheeks

If you want a little color on the cheeks, just apply a very small amount of blush, just a little rosier than your natural color and put on the apple of the cheeks. Make sure it’s well blended. Another technique is to use a creamy, moisturizing nude lipstick on the cheeks for a soft, dewy look.

6. Curl the Lashes

For a more natural eye look, forgo the mascara and simply curl the lashes.

7. Just a Touch of Mascara

If you want to use mascara use a thin coat or a dark brown or brown-black shade instead of jet black.

8. Groom Your Brows

Make sure the eyebrows are brushed and gently filled in and groomed with brow gel.

9. Apply a Nude Lipstick, Or Not!

For neutral lips, use a moisturizing/conditioning lip color one shade brighter than your natural lip color. You can also use a concealer (close to your natural color) to conceal any discolorations and go over with a nude lipstick or nude or clear lip-gloss.
