A lot of them are rude that's why. I swear if I get one more pen or pencil stuck in my hair I might have to be charged with assault for smacking the stupid out of someone. ~3~
I never had an afro but, when I wear my hair down people always touch it and says its poofy. Which I don't really mind but, it gets annoying sometimes when they try to braid it and do a lot of hair styles. A few times people said my hair was nappy because it's poofy. But, I considered it as jealousy. I'm Native American so my hair is also long. Nice take though.
Finally!!! Everything listed here has been said and/or done to me way too many times. No one understands natural hair and it's beauty. Thank you so much 👏👏👏
I have no hope for humanity. I would just say that I loved your hair and be genuinely envious of it. It's different and unique. I would not trade it for any run of the mill weave.
Yes, there are people out there like that. They randomly grope my hair and make faces like I'm a pet and not a human being. A lady in the grocery store told me my hair disgusts her and I should relax it, she had her daughter with her (who also has a curly fro) and she was scolding her daughter for wearing her hair like that (in its natural, God given state!) And not relaxing it.
The best myTake I have read so far. Any person who touches my hair without permission... It will be the end of them and it will be the last thing they ever touch. -_-
Yeah, but they were invented for Japanese people with wavy hair lol I also have hair like the girl after the straight perm. It will only become even flatter and more lifeless.
Hehe I loved this :3 I have never met an afro person before but I'd love to! And I think afro hair is really cool :) but I gotta admit, I always thought about touching it :p
I get what your saying, 100%. Have tons of black girl friends
But hey, it's like anything else... people will prefer what people prefer. When you got Operah that doesn't come on the show with an Afro you better believe a lot of women will want hair that's luscious, soft, touchable enough to drag your finders through type of hair etc
can't lie. Most of the times girls do look better when it falls rather than the Afro... ah well
Yea she's rich and she's chooses to keep her hair straight instead of making a bold statement and keeping an Afro (since she can do whatever she wants)... so think about it. Women used to always ask her how her hair was so nice
Let's be honest here, Afros are great because it's natural and you can't change it, sure.. But I bet my bottom dollar that most black girls desire and want luscious soft straight hair. Why else is there such a Big market for fake hair in the community. I'm sure your victim of that too
can't chamge it really I guess... we like what we like. The girl in the picture you posted I'm not so sure if it's her Afro that's pretty or it's just her face that's gorgeous... put any hair style on her and she will look beautiful
But I do think some women look amazing with their natural hair, that's for sure... but there's not many unfourtantely
I have a curly fro and I find straight hair boring (no offense to anyone with straight hair, black, white or purple). I love my curly fro and if my hair were straight I would be bored with it, wishing it was curly.

A lot of them are rude that's why. I swear if I get one more pen or pencil stuck in my hair I might have to be charged with assault for smacking the stupid out of someone. ~3~
i hope they will turn a blind eye n let u beat on em :P
I doubt they'd let me do that. xD
There is no justice in the world.
Right?

Thanks for the information. These activities are sheer ignorance.
They are and sadly they do happen.
Yeah, it's expected, unfortunately. It's kinda racism :/
It is, but since some folks think since they didn't mention a race, skin colour, or used an internationally known offensive word then it's not racist.

\^o^/ You're welcome sistah girl.
I was already aware of all these things, I just wanted to drop by and say that I think afros are gorgeous :)
Lol. I actually like people touching my hair so I don't mind being asked that.
I haven't heard number 2 and if I did, I would think that person was extremely ignorant...
And I've heard number 7 A LOT. My hair is just really thick and hard to comb through... lol.
Nice thoug.
I was laughing so much at this take, not at you just at how stupid people can be. Great take.
People can be really ridiculous.
There's a funny buzzfeed video about this same thing. www.buzzfeed.com/.../things-girls-with-natural-hair-are-tired-of-hearing
Are there actually stupid ass bitches that say this?
Yup, there are and it happens more often than someone would think. .-.
I have no hope for humanity. I would just say that I loved your hair and be genuinely envious of it. It's different and unique. I would not trade it for any run of the mill weave.

A lady told you that your hair disgusts you? Randomly? What is wrong with people there?
I wish more Afro-Caribbean women kept their hair natural instead of straightening it.
I can imagine how annoying that would get. Good take!
It gets so annoying so quickly. Q~Q
The best myTake I have read so far. Any person who touches my hair without permission... It will be the end of them and it will be the last thing they ever touch. -_-
I wonder if my friend has that problem... sheesshh.
But I don't like when people at school touch my hair either. :/ it's rude if you don't ask or if you aren't close.
She more than likely does. It happens to most if not all women with an afro.
I never ask to touch anyone's hair that's just weird lol
;-; You're such a good person for that.
lol thanks
You're welcome. c:
I had an afro as a young child but my hair is fine bonky curly now lol. Yes that would be annoying with those comments!.
There is also Afro perm to get that look
dybiz.com/.../asian_with_afro.jpg
I know but I'm talking about natural ones and the comments we get because we stop perming and flat ironing our hair.
Some people are nuts. I have straight hair and girls have told me to get it chemically done to get it even more straight.
There is such a thing as a Japanese straight perm. That might be what they're talking about.

You should wear it naturally wavy as is if you don't want a straight perm. There's plenty of cute hairstyles for wavy haired girls.
*already
I have straight hair -.-
Sorry I miss read what you said. I though you said you have hair just like the girl before the straight perm... ;A; Sorry.
I've never seen as Asian with a fro before. this is cute! (:
Hehe I loved this :3 I have never met an afro person before but I'd love to! And I think afro hair is really cool :) but I gotta admit, I always thought about touching it :p
You haven't met a person with an afro before? O. o
I live in Romania, but never seen one with an afro :p
Travel outside the country there's quite a few od us. c:
I'm sure I'll meet one eventually :p
I never touch anyone let alone their hair. Asians don't like touching other people. It's not part of their culture.

O_ o I know Oprah is filthy rich, but I didn't know people still watched her or founder her relevant...

When I had a buzz cut women would want to touch it. Along with the ease of care it was one of the best parts.
