This question isn't to "slut-shame" anyone. I'm merely curious as to why a lot of women like to dress up in very proactive costumes. Surely they know that this will turn a lot of guys on.

I think it's be about low self esteem and society brainwashing girls into having to be sexy. For me, it's because all the other girls look that way and I feel like I would be the ugly girl if I don't. So, peer pressure too. Hope this helps.

I think women who are attractive or at least want to feel that way, will jump at any chance to wear a provocative costume over one that is considered nerdy. All costume or theme parties will find women who turn it into a sexy affair.
