Yes, technically, but really, is there a need for excuse for that sort of thing? The women who use ONLY Halloween to dress up a certain way are kinda... dumbasses. Why? Well, WHY wait till Halloween? Not gonna say my situation was anything like yours but I know what it feels like to be made to feel like you aren't worthy, having to be careful what you say so you don't set him off, being called demeaning names, and being forced down on the bed with his hand over my mouth so I couldn't breath. You will get to a better place. It just takes time. Just remember it is good to protect yourself. Just make sure it's from people who are trying to hurt you.
