Why do so many girls dress like sluts on halloween?

Sexy cop, Slutty teacher, sexy kitten, harley quinn... come on most chicks wear those boring costumes. All they try to do is look sexy... Its freaking halloween! Be creative, try to be scary! I really don't get it...

Why do you care? Halloween is more about fun now, not about being scary. If being "scary" is your type of fun, cool. If being "provocative" is your type of fun, cool. If being silly is your type of fun, cool.

Do you get mad at guys dressing up like as chickens or goofy costumes? No, I'm willing to bet not. Those "funny" costumes don't get shamed.

Or do you get mad at babies dressing up as cute little bumblebees or ladybugs? They're not scary either. But it's for fun.

Let those girls have their fun.

And no, I'm not one of them. I used to be a "slut" hater and think like that too, but Halloween is not exclusively to scare you.
I usually make my own costumes or go into the men's sections because I don't really like form fitting clothes much.

There's a lot of slut-shaming going on here. Showing more skin doesn't make someone a slut nor does it mean they want to get laid. There's nothing wrong with feeling good about your body. It's this culture of judging others by their clothes that causes so many problems. A woman can be walking nude down the street and that doesn't mean she's trying to get laid or anything else that has been mentioned here. In the states we get too worked up by nudity and automatically associate it with sex.

Haha I've never remarked it... maybe because in my part of Belgium Halloween is not so popular except from the few pumpkins that are around :D
And if indeed it's the case I agree with your view on it and don't understand it either :o

It may be because they think it's socially acceptable to explore those options on a day that you "dress up" without feeling judged. Or, maybe they just aren't creative. I don't know, have you tried asking some of them in person yourself?

Can you maybe get off your high horse? First off, have you ever actually shopped for a women's Halloween costume? Because they're like 90% revealing or sexualized. So why exactly are you blaming women when this is clearly more of a supply and created demand issue than actual genuine demand. But secondly, in what universe does slutty mean not creative? Halloween is one of those nights where you're supposed to have amnesty from being judged. Anyone can dress up as anything that night, and it's not considered offensive in that situation. Sometimes you get cash prizes for certain costumes.
