Why do people complain about being pale?

I used to be very pale as a child but my skin is now more olive-toned because I lived in the sun for several years and it seems like the tan won’t fade anymore. Tbh I don’t like it because I have brown hair and blue eyes and tanned skin is not the best fit for that. I would much love to have pale skin. Why would people complain about this?

My parents are both darker skinned. My moms half native and I have no idea what my dad is but I got like... all the scottish side because I'm extremely pale. I'm very dark brown if I'm in the sun but my default it pale. I always wished I was darker because my mom has such pretty brown skin and it made me sad that we looked so different. But I'm ok with being pale now

I'm very pale. I like my skin tone, but it's a pain to find a foundation light enough. I can't tan. I can't go out in the sun for more than 30 minutes (even with sunscreen) without burning. Or, I get mass amounts of freckles. People telling me I look sickly, or like a ghost/vampire. It just gets annoying every now and again.

Wow people are messed up, they're probably just jealous. I think pale skin is sexy, its my personal preference. people will always judge you even if there's nothing wrong, just take what they say w a grain of salt. You're beautiful the way you are

The only reason I didn't like it is because I got bullied in school about it. But now that I am older and I am around older more mature people, they don't bully me about it, or even mention it. Or they just keep it to themselves because they are matured adults.

I think blue eyes look nice on both tannes and pale skin, if anything, green eyes don't look as good on tanned skin.
I don't complain about my pale skin, i think i look good with it

I hate my pale skin because you can see my spots more easily, my face goes red when too cold or hot, my skin burns when in the sun and sometimes my skin looks more dry, pink toned and its unappealing when you see these gorgeous golden tanned celebrities and models everywhere.

I have really pale skin and I'm really sensitive about it. I don't know why I guess it's just the way some people are. I do have a lot of friends who are tan and they get a LOT more attention then I do but that might be bc i'm weird.

People will always find something to judge someone for. Not a lot of people is pale, anything that is different is usually being judged. Bad, but true.
