It just stems down that pubic hair is meant to protect are private parts from germs and etc.. just like eye brows and lashers are there to protect the eyes , so by shaving and waxing it’s considered unhealthy cuz now your private parts are open to picking up more germs and infections etc.. by shaving or waxing You are pretty much opening your skin pores to allow germs and infection to enter into your body especially during sex or oral , so if you are having sex with someone that has an STD you are pretty much more prone to receiving it. Cuz now you have more openings for it to enter , why it’s safer just to have 1 sex partner that you trust , I usually don’t shave down there until I finally meet the 1 , I just trim until then lol
Those "health hazards" are taken WAY out of proportion by people with an agenda who aren't interested in facts.
It would be as if I lumped male face-shaving accidents under "knife wounds" and then declared that my city has triple the average rate of "knife violence". Just because you can twist words like a pretzel to kind of suggest something doesn't make it the truth.
If women having pubic hair was so utterly vital, they'd be born with it - they wouldn't have to live in such a dangerous condition for the first 12 years of their life.
I personally don't shave and it isn't because of anything related to health. It is because of how I see my body. I already have a very small figure and a small vagina so shaving it completely makes me feel like a little girl lol like back before I hit puberty. While having hair, it makes me feel like a woman because that's what happens when you turn into a woman, you grow pubic hair lol
I do shave completely though on special occasions lol cause even though my partner doesn't care about pubic hair, he still thinks going down on me is easier without hair.
@MysteriousDarkness I feel better with trimmed pubic hair. If the hair is too long, it gets in the way and it is annoying lol if it is completely shaven, I feel naked... like something is missing when I'm wearing underwear. I'm just used to always having hair down there lol
It is like shaving your legs after you had hair for awhile. It feels weird when you wear pants lol until you get used to it.
@CaptainLegal I don't think I'm doing anything special. I shave pretty much every time I shower. I never cut myself, it doesn't itch, and while I have had ingrown hairs, it's rare.
Waxing and shaving aren't fun. IPL or laser are reasonably permanent so not to be entered into lightly but it's the only way to go - it's what I did a few years ago and I love it. It can be expensive at a salon (although Groupon and perhaps other such sites usually have big discounts on offer) but you can get Phillips home use equipment for about the cost of one session. If you can share that with friends or family, it's even better value.

I wax my legs. But I use the cream stuff for my underarms and down there.
Sometimes I wax down there but I tend to avoid it in sensitive areas (underarms and THERE) because I bleed A LOT.
My dates tend to be sort of platonic so they're not the reason behind my shaving. I do it because I like to be 'tidy' and go swimming spontaneously and frequently.
I avoid using the blade simply because I'm scared😂😂 I've cut myself before.
by the way I haven't heard of any health hazards related to shaving, waxing or the cream thing, other than allergies and rashes.
I've read articles about the health benefits of pubic hair, but every one of them sounded like propaganda by feminists of the more radical persuasion. What it's really about is the notion that the desire for women to make themselves attractive is motivated by patriarchal dominance and oppression. As far as I'm concerned, the benefits of being "natural" are overrated. After all, who wants MEN to go natural? Is it desirable for men to look like Taliban? So raise your hand if you're okay with women having mustaches, stray hairs on their chins and areolas, and furry legs. After all, it's "natural". The logic is as whacked out as some of the more ludicrous arguments by really radical vegans. ... things like how meat rots in our intestinal tracts or humans never evolved to be omnivores.
Honestly, if hair wasn't supposed to be down there, it wouldn't be there. Pubic hair protects us from viruses and infections. On the other hand, it's always recommended you shave/wax at least once a month because like all hair, it can get dirty and leave a smell and that is also not good.
I personally like to wax every 8 months. I like the feel of being bald down there. For some reason, I feel more freer and my sex drive definitely goes up. At the same time, waxing is painful and I'm not self conscious about hair down there that I need to wax it every time I go out on a date.
In the end, just do what you wanna do and what you feel comfortable with.
Shaving with an electric shaver doesn't cause any problems for me. I'm not talking about an electric trimmer that's used to trim a beard. Shaving with a razor can cause ingrown hairs and cuts in the skin. All I know is that most girls are trying to find pictures and videos of dicks with trimmed pubic hair and shaved balls when they are on Pornhub and other adult websites. I guess that's one reason why guys started shaving. I think most people remove pubic hair because it makes their skin more sensitive. That's probably the reason why women started shaving their armpits.
I have been getting Brazilians for a number of years now. One of the hazards I have found is sometimes you can get what is called a “lift.” For myself these happen on the scrotum. It’s exactly what it sounds like, a layer of skin comes up when the strip is pulled. Depending on me skill of the waxer you may have more or less of these. Luckily they don’t happen all that often, but they have happened. All things considered though, I still think it is very much worth it. I love the way it looks and feels with all the hair removed.
And for myself, I do get three action where I get small red bumps where the hair was removed that last for a day or two. So if I know there’s a chance I might be seen, I always make sure that I have had at least three or four days since my last waxing.
I can only trim my pubic hair as everytime I shave I get a yeast infection, I have sensitive skin and razor burn opens you up to a whole world of bacteria. Although it's viewed as "cleaner" to be shaved, your hair is there to protect you and move sweat off your body. When you shave you get microtears in your skin and it makes you more susceptible to STIs As long as you keep it clean there's nothing wrong with not having, there's also nothing wrong with shaving if it works for you. It's your body do what you want with it.
I trim, but I don't shave because I hate ingrown hairs and I hate stubble and I hate cuts and nicks. I hate itching to death as it grows back. When I have shaved, I hated the sensation of rubbing in my undies because I stayed wet, if that makes sense? Too much sensation.
Hair removal creams don't wonders. They last as long as shaving but there are no cuts, ingrown hairs or itching but I guess you hate the sensation of having it smooth.
Yeah hair removal creams have a strong smell I can't tolerate. I might wax or laser or off someday, but only when I make enough to justify hair removal as a legit expense
Mhhh, I shave every week or every two weeks in winter, every two or three days in summer. Right before a date or some activiry I'm going to expose a certain body part, I shave.
Now I'm doing laser epilation so I'm shaving, but I used to epilate or use cool wax... which meant once a month or less in winter (unless a date or similar) and every week or every two weeks in summer.
There are valid heath reasons for keeping it natural cause it is your natural defense against harmful bacteria getting inside plus many people (like me) can experience terrible rash and bumps from waxing and shaving so it's really not worth it either. Trimming is a good alternative.
The reason why many do it is because the idea if being smooth came from the porn industry the health risks are having less protection from outside bacteria and the risks from shaving/waxing the whole place is tiny cuts and tears in the skins since down there is very sensitive.

Well if it actually is unhealthy then I'm deep trouble. I just shaved yesterday. Not the first time really but I wouldn't say I shave every week since in that area hair doesn't grow back too fast. And sure some might argue that shaving is influenced by the porn industry but is that really such a bad thing? I like to shave and like shaved women I don't see why I shouldn't
I've heard that shaving presents a risk of infection, because all the tiny cuts down there can become a problem when you consider the other things that go on in that area. But from my understanding, waxing is a lot safer. I haven't heard of any inherent risk that comes with waxing.
I think it all come downs to preference... And what skin type you have. I have sensitive skin and have tried various things without great results. So instead I trim them, and if I go swim I do the bikini line I guess. There are some smaller problems which arise with shaving but not big enough I think can be classified as 'health hazards'. And you don't really need to have skin problems as an excuse not to shave, some hate how it feels or looks etc and that's fine too. Do what makes you happy
Why don't people have laser treatment in their pubic area instead of shaving or waxing?
I'm completely smooth downstairs and have laser treatment. Best thing I did because there's no razor burn or rash plus your pubic area has a silly smooth feel 😉👌
No matter how frequently the 'down there' area is shaved the skin is nowhere near as nicely smooth as when waxed, and there's usually an unattractive sign of the unmistakable beginnings of stuble, even if shaving has taken place earlier the same day
The female beauty therapists at the waxing spa I go to are very skilled and I find it to be painless when it's done regularly - and not only does it leave the skin genuinely silky smooth but hair regrowth is much slower, and softer too !
Health hazards we never a consideration when I started shaving as a young teen. Neither were they when as a young adult when I decided to stop shaving and grow my pubic are back. by the way I still shave outside the bikini line especially in summer for swimsuits etc.
My girlfriend has removed her pubic hair only twice since we have been together and it has been 6 years 4 months for us being together. I gave shaved my pubic hair only twice since having it which made me very itchy. I also did not feel right without my pubic hair. As of now I am hairy.
