Yet whenever I watch house shows its always monochrome, silver, gray, white and the ocational creams
What's your opinion on house decor
Because white makes things look visually more open and spacious.
Colored walls make things look smaller and far more claustrophobic, which is not what most people want from their homes.
That's primarily why walls have traditionally been painted in white or very light colors.
But then you combine it in mirrors or half and half, have a feature wall or two walls one colour and the other two another, I've seen people say they want their room to look like a hotel and I keep thinking I can't think of anything worse lol
I can understand wanting more light but having every room of the house the same colour is boring and no personality, so whats your opinion what do you prefer?
Hah, I like the opposite- brutalist/modernist architecture with open floor plans and minimalist all-white interiors, including furniture.
I like very practical environments without decorations or trumpery hanging around.
Solid colors, lacks of patterns, and a very homogeneous look to things.

Bold colors are nice but if your rooms are small then colors like white and creams give the illusion that your room isn't so small. My mom did that. The bedrooms are white and light blues but the dining room and living room is a dark red and green.
I love chrome and all things neutral colored lol
Homes for sale tend to favor the neutral colors so they don't distract from the house itself.
I'm not sure the exact colors I like, but I hate a house thats too white. I do like cabin like houses with brown colors
I think wood feels more natural. I've watched house hunters with my family a few times, and there are so many houses that are so white it's jarring. They describe it as "modern" but I hate it lmao. I love wood houses personally
Exactly I'm not saying I want a room to be a rainbow but like a blue palate, in my parents house they have a red and black kitchen but there's two large windows and a patio sliding door so tonnes of light the dark colours match, I do like the rustic look too but when it's all grey it's too plain for me. I don't think I'll ever have a white wall, furniture doors skirting boards etc then yeah sure but not walls I'm glad not everyone is into the hotel look lol

Ideally I would like all surfaces mirrored for maximum disorientation
People want white and grey inside houses?
I don't have a dream home.
:)
Easier to clean and match with I guess?
