I remove them the way they are supposed to be removed. First the lace, then loosening a bit, and the holding the heels and pulling out your feet. That way their life is also increased. Rack it is then.

Also the soles need to be dried up in the sun so as to be as bouncy as they can be. Memory soles are the ones I am talking about.

Shoes cleaning, washing and then polishing are a given with any shoes.

When I take my shoes off, I leave them by the front door. If I'm wearing boots, I leave them in them garage.

If I went somewhere so I had shoes on when I got home I usually keep them on for a few hours. When I do take them off I normally put them at the end of my weight bench so they are out of the way.
