Why do most celebrities lie about their plastic surgery procedures?

I get that it can be invasive to talk about your personal life like that, especially with stuff to do with insecurities and cosmetic surgery, so I understand that some celebrities want to avoid talking about their cosmetic surgeries altogether. It's also probably embarrassing to admit for some people and it's not anyone else's business really.

But why do some celebrities outright lie about their plastic surgery? Especially when it's obvious they got many procedures done? Do they think the public is stupid and we can't tell for ourselves?

They often tell these ridiculous stories like "I got in a car accident" or "I had breathing problems as so needed to get my nose fixed."

Are the lies to preserve their "perfect" image? Also, why do so many celebrities get plastic surgery in the first place?

I don't think there's anything shameful about getting plastic surgery, so I don't really understand the need to lie about it. I think celebrities do not want to be seen as insecure or imperfect, and for them, getting plastic surgery would mean that something was wrong or "ugly" in the first place. Or it would mean that they don't have enough force of character to accept themselves as they are. Every one has the freedom to do whatever they want to their body/face but I think they should take responsibility since they're creating unrealistic beauty standards to the rest of the people.

Lol I think it’s cuz they feel ashamed and don’t want people to call them fake. And all that stigma surrounding plastic surgery. People also like talking and judging people who have had procedures. They get called insecure, “she’s only pretty because she fixed her nose”, “she’s pretty cuz she’s had plastic surgery”. I’m all for surgery if you look prettier and feel better about yourself but don’t get addicted and make sure the procedure WILL change your life for the better.

Out of these examples, Bella admitted that she got her nose done and that she regrets it. (However I think she denies having anything else done but seems like she had a facelift or eyebrow lift as well)

But I think it’s just because they don’t want to get shamed for it. I feel bad for celebs, they just can’t win tbh. They get shamed for their appearance if they’re natural, they get shamed if they lie about surgery, shamed if they tell the truth.

With Zac's case it wasn't actually plastic surgery but actual surgery. o... o

If you do some research into the matter the man tripped in a puddle and actually landed straight on his jaw against a granite fountain at his place in 2013. and actually needed it to be wired shut just to heal. >.>and so the change in jaw line is actually just how the jaw healed for the most part.

Yeah sorry I like zac but I'm not buying that story at all. He looked like his regular self all these years after the accident happened up until now. Plus, his eyes and nose have changed as well. Again I like him a lot, but I smell an untruth.

yes but years and years later? No chance. Inflammation from injuries doesn't just not appear for years and then suddenly emerge randomly. Plus as I said, the nose is shorter and the eyes are different. Looks like lip filler too.

Well inflammation is dependant on the body to make anti inflammation chemicals so that cells can deflate for some, they are just naturally... "PUFFY" Its like all the geniuses who drink carbonated drinks all the time and are often like why do I always seem fat. Well.. Where do you think all the carbonation is going?

Again, not years later. Swelling or inflammation from the body only lasts only a couple of weeks after the surgery is done. His face was normal in 2013-2021. It's only in 2021 that his face changed. There's no way.

Personally when someone lies about something it makes me not like them. But frankly who really cares?

Agree, I do feel for celebrities because they are always under scrutiny and judgement, so that's probably a big part of the lying. But yes the whole preaching of "confidence" and then doing this is contradictory lol

Bella hadid didn’t lie about hers and she even opened up saying that she regretted it she got it at 14 and I believe that her mom forced her 🤦🏽‍♀️. My guess as to why celebrities lie is because they’re embarrassed about the work they got done and they want people to think that they’re a natural beauty.

Nicole Kidman, Jennifer Lopez, The Kardashians and so many more celebrities feel the pressure to look perfect or the (social) media will insult them. (But they will insult them anyway when they find out about their plastic surgeries)
