I don’t want you to use a celebrity example because since celebrities are rich it’s a lot easier for them to afford things to improve them-self or appearance.

Yes, a few but one in particular was a friend. Her name was Sara and we became friends our freshman year. She developed a crush on me but she wasn't very pretty. She was painfully thin, with long straight hair, coke bottled glasses and braces. We remained friends and would talk on the phone just about every night and I did think she was a very sweet, kind, caring girl and I did genuinely like her, as a friend. Well, one summer day she called me about two weeks before the start of the new school year. She called to tell me her mom finally got her contact lenses and she's gonna get a perm a week before school and her braces were finally removed. In her words, "you probably won't even recognize me. I've actually changed a lot over the summer". She wasn't exaggerating at all! She was fucking gorgeous! Two weeks into the new school year, I asked her to homecoming and she said, "absolutely, yes"! I am so glad I treated her good prior to us dating.
