When it comes to models why do these companies pick the most bonus people they can find.

I think that's no longer the case.
The promotion of obesity and women shaped like Kim Kardashian is STRONK.
They used to pick tall, skinny, boney women because designers thought they show off their goods/clothes better. Audience would not focus on the models, instead they would on the fashion.
