Do you ever buy same piece of clothes - in different colors?

I have a habit of choosing one piece of clothes I am the most comfortable in and sticking to it often, doesn’t matter how full my wardrobe is…

So, I often end up buying same piece of clothes but different colors to make sure I don’t have the same look everyday.

For example - I have just bought a few same style turtlenecks but in different colors - Black, Pink and cyan.

I wonder if it’s just me or do you also have the same habit?

I do all the time but even clothes in identical colors and styles, like the multiple copies of the identical clothing. I bulk purchase clothes this way.

The main reason I do it though is because it's very difficult to find clothes that fit me well in Japan. I think it's because I'm half-white. My shoulders are a bit broader than pure Japanese and chest/back a bit thicker, but not as broad/thick as people who are purely white.

So often when I try on shirts in Japanese clothing stores, for example, the chest/shoulders area is way too tight but the area about my abdomen is way too loose and baggy. Then I try a larger size but then everything is too loose and baggy and the shirt is way too long.

Therefore, I have to shop around a lot to find clothes that fit me well. Shoes as well; I have very wide feet so it's hard to find a shoe that doesn't feel like its strangling my foot but also isn't too long and leaves too much extra space around the toes. So whenever I find something that finally fits me well, I end up buying multiple copies of it (sometimes varying colors but I'll even buy identical copies too).

My compression socks I have in three colors. I have several pairs of track pants in different colors. I have 6 pairs of combat boots that are all the same color. To be fair they are 3 different types (summer/winter/waterproof), but they look pretty much the same.

It depends, I wouldn't buy the same dress in different colours but I have some basic pieces which I like and they are cheap and I got them in different colours to easily mix and match different outfits

but there was an exception... once I couldn't decide on a color for a summer dress, so I bought both :D

Most of my like I wore jeans and a plain black or white tshirt. That's it. Every day. Now I have some green shirts and khaki pants.

I do that regularly, with different kinds of pull overs that I buy from Jockey. Have the same kind of shirt, with as many different colors as they sell.

Yes I have a shirt with a restaurant logo on it and it seems every time that I wear it, something good or lucky happens. So the majority of my shirts are from that restaurant 👍🙂
