I've noticed that too last year at the beach. If your 14 year old daughter is running around in a thong bikini on a beach in front of you and the rest of your family then you've failed as a parent.
Brazilian style 14, a thong a few years older. Seen a few kids around 12 y. o in a thong and thought it was inappropriate. Maybe in their country it’s acceptable.
Any age is fine. It is the creeps perving on them, you have to worry about.
Talking about young ladies stepping into more revealing swimwear is a bit like a tightrope walk, isn't it? Every step needs to be taken with a bit of caution and a lot of consideration. It's more about maturity and the context than a specific age. Generally, as girls grow and enter their late teens, they start exploring their sense of style and how they express themselves, including swimwear choices. What's crucial, though, is creating an environment where they can make choices that make them feel confident yet comfortable, respecting their body and being age-appropriate. Encouraging open conversations about body image, self-respect, and societal pressures can guide them in making decisions that they're comfortable with. It's all about balance, support, and embracing change with a positive and respectful approach. How do you feel about navigating these discussions?

Most swimwear is revealing in some way. Little kids really only need, and often only wear, swim shorts or briefs. When a girl starts developing and she's in a society wear women are expected to cover their breasts, she'll have to start wearing swim tops.
When the girl starts being able to make her own clothes choices, that's for her to do.
Tough question. I'd say she can wear revealing swimwear when she is old enough, and has the money, to buy it herself.
Call me a pride but I don't think it's ever appropriate.
@Apple1996 I like to look at scantily clad women but that just makes me think of them as a sexual object.
@Apple1996. Incidentally, did you know the "Bikini" is named after the Bikini Atoll which is where much of U. S. nuclear testing was done?
@Apple1996 Ugh... you slay me.
@Apple1996 of one is scantily dressed, it promotes sexuality.
@MrShaun. Get ready for @Apple1996 firing a troll shot back at you.
@Apple1996 Are you kidding, your "troll gun" is a.458 Magnum.
We're both prudes I guess. Modest swimwear is much nicer than that skimpy shite I've been seeing. I used to think it was a parenting issue (no guidance) but online you see the young mothers wearing the same stuff. Sometimes they'll pose with their daughters in crop tops and yoga pants together with camel toe on display). Degenerates...
@Wraith_Cemetery Agreed, total degeneracy.
The age of consent is when I'd expect it's a non-issue for a young woman to wear something that's more sexually charged.
Any age for bikinis is fine
When ever she wants to.
Heh, really? You see little girls wearing bikinis.
around 14 i guess
