I remember in the 1970s and 1980s, I wouldn't go anywhere without panty hose. Now, not so much. Today, in the winter we wear tights, leggings, and leggings. So I guess my question is do you think that panty hose will ever come back into style or is this in the past?
I think they're still slightly in vogue. At the food bank I go to, there is a rack full of stuff like crayons, calendars, note pads, puzzles, books and all sorts of other whatnots and, 2 months ago, there were 3 packs of pantyhose in the rack. It was the first time I saw them there. Last month, there was only one! So, SOMEBODY'S still wearing them! If I still had my band together, I'd still be wearing them! I'd MUCH rather see girls in pantyhose than those stretch pants! Especially the silky ones! SO sexy!! With stretch pants, you might as well just paint your legs. Sure it's KINDA sexy but, it's like walking around naked from the waste down with nothing more than a coat of paint on. Like, before you left the house that morning, you dunked yourself waist deep in fuzzy paint. With a skirt and pantyhose, you've got something to look forward to!
I like them but they probably won't, especially now that more women are opting for pants instead of dresses and skirts. I think it's likely that we'll only see them in formal and business settings or if someone wants to dress in a specific decade style.
I only like them sometimes. There are options that are much warmer under dresses & skirts.
