Would I be mistaken to be rude?

There’s this Turkish restaurant I frequent these days and the waiters and waitresses are really nice, they call me “Meili” which means “Beauty” in Chinese and they often volunteered to take me photos, cause they thought I looked nice.

And today they gave me this VIP room for free to enjoy the meal I ordered and then the waiter came, asking , if I’d like to be taken photo, As I look very good and my outfit is matching to the blue room I am sitting in, I pointed at my dark under eyes and said smiling “Thank you so much, but I look so tired now” and he said “Oh, okay, have a rest then, if you are tired.”

He doesn’t know English well, hope he wouldn’t think that I told him I am tired and I don’t want to take a photo, I just don’t want to take a photo now as I haven’t slept well and while my outfit looks nice, my eyes look tired.
