That's not much of a mullet at all on Brad Pitt in those pictures.
THIS is a mullet:
I am not too picky with men’s haircuts but I would say I’ve never found anyone with a mullet attractive. Not a deal breaking though maybe I just haven’t seen the right one.
Mullets are the hick hairstyle. They'll always be a no for me. They look like you just came out of the old karate kid movie.
Whether to go for a mullet or not depends on your personal style and confidence. Mullets have made a trendy comeback with a blend of retro charm and modern flair. If you love experimenting and want a unique, bold look, a mullet might be fun! If you prefer a classic, timeless vibe, sticking to a more traditional hairstyle could be your best bet. Whatever you choose, rock it with confidence! 😄

There is no mullet in either photo given.
A mullet is a patch of hair on top of the head.

You're right in your original comment but even that haircut isn't a mullet, looks like a high fade with a drop.
Mullets go all the way down normally, nothing shaved for that straight back of the head area.
@bobby_bush_eater The mullet is the raised patch of hair on top of the head. It's a sheared barbershop haircut, it's called the Business cut in the Barbershop. The military calls it the High and tight, But it's the same hair cut. Been around for over a century.
@bobby_bush_eater I know what you are talking about. Back in the 80's some guys with long hair would go to the barbershop and get the sheared business cut up front and leave the hair long in the back.
"Business up front, Party in the back",
It was a ridiculous hybrid haircut and it was actually very rare to see in the 80's. When you spotted one it was like seeing a rare bird, you couldn't help but look. The term mullet was used for the haircut. But it had nothing to do with the long hair in the back.
But, it's not a Mullet unless shears are used along the sides. Since fundamentally the Business cut is a sheared Barbershop haircut. The shears creat the mullet on top.
