Style, first and foremost. And function, as well. I have AT LEAST 50 pairs of shoes/sneakers, lmao. “Every outfit starts with the shoes.”
And if that seems excessive, the thing is, while I don’t wear most of them everyday, that means they last for many, many years. In my younger, less stylish days, I’d do the usual guy thing, buy a pair of sneakers that I’d just wear at all times with all outfits, and in 6-9 months they’d be falling apart and dirty, and I’d buy a new pair. Now, I have one pair that I probably bought over ten years ago, some blue suede Pumas, and they still look GREAT, because I only wear them when I wear a matching blue and the weather is good.
I do have more versatile sneakers, like all-white Nike Air Force Ones. I actually just ruined mine fishing the other day😖 My big worry was getting them muddy, but they’re starting to get some creases in them and need replacing before the end of the year. It’s also a very common and easily attainable sneaker that I can replace with no problem, so I’m not as protective of them. Other stuff is irreplaceable, I’m much more mindful with those.Anyway, managed to avoid the mud, but I was trying to get through some thick brush, and thorny vine tripped me up, and sliced the back of my ankle. I was worried about bleeding on my chinos (also shouldn’t have worn those into the forest, but I was coming from an outing with friends, so I was dressed nicely😅), and I did, a little, but ultimately on the inside because I had the ankles cuffed. But the cut was RIGHT where your heel meets the interior of the back of your shoe, where it’s cloth, and now there’s a blood stain. So those are cooked, gotta get new ones, haha
But yeah, I’m not particular about brands, just the aesthetic. I like vintage styles that are being made again, that I grew up wearing. Some of those brands are still popular. Others, like Reebok, I’m not sure if that’s what the young cool kids are wearing…. but I still maintain their nylon-and-suede sneaker is a classic…
That is always and forever a great looking sneaker, don’t @ me 26 Reply- 1 mo
The great thing about shoes is that they can always be replaced. Wearing chinos for a walk in the forest...😅 what were you thinking? Lol!!

I do dumb things sometimes in pursuit of fun🙃😅

Lol!! I've realised. But as well as have fun be careful too. You won't always get away with a cut on the back of your foot.

I have to buy a higher price shoe, usually Italian made, so hence Italian shoes come with a higher price... with the added +... Those shoes last a long time, with only taking to a good 'cobbler' and have a full sole and heals every once in a while.
So... for me Comfort comes at a Price... and that depends on the Brand... shoe maker usually Italian made.

What's the point of buying a pair of designer shoes for cheap if you can't wear them without getting blisters, because they rub in all the wrong places?

When I buy a new pair of shoes, comfort is my top priority. 🌟 Feeling good in them is essential, especially since I'm often on my feet in vibrant places like Orlando and Madrid. While price and brand can matter, they come second to ensuring I can walk effortlessly and stylishly. After all, a happy foot makes for a happy day! 👡✨

10 ReplyUnfortunately I have the habit of using my shoes until they’re unwearable anymore before changing them
It’s not a question of money it’s just I never make the time to shop for shoes if mine are perfectly fine
But I should try getting better at that.
Same goes for my whole wardrobe
But I’m getting better at it year after year21 Reply- 1 mo
That's totally understandable. You're not the only one.

1 moAfter many years, I found a brand of men's shoes that is comfortable and well made with 100% leather in the uppers, including the inside of the shoe. Now, I always buy that brand. Recently, they decided to move their operations and they had a huge sale - like 75% off - and I bought six pair of shoes, so I am taken care of for a long time to come. Sandro Moscoloni.

I prioritize both aesthetic and comfort. There's no point is having a shoe that destroys your feet. But I'm likely not going to even wear it out if it looks ugly. I'd be embarrassed to wear it out. That being said, if I absolutely had to choose one, then comfort comes first as your health matters more than looks. But I don't wear ugly shoes as I have the option to choose.
10 Reply Price normally (in the market for 🏍 boots rn) but some degree of materials and spec is important. The colour is a valid issue but not over riding. Comfort is more important but having normal size and shape feet means most options are gonna be fine there.
Brand is almost irrelevant.
10 ReplyComfort because, in my eyes, money can come and go when. it's such an amount, as well as design can change.
I view it as I want to be comfortable because that's what'll follow with me most daily, whether that be at work, in personal life, or whatever I may do in the day

Comfort and functionality. They are like a tool, just like an axe or a gun. The purpose of the tool takes heavy consideration. I don't care if it's pink or stylish just so long as it does the job well and better than other possible tools.

Looks is the most important. If I don't like the look, there's no point buying them. They also need to be comfortable enough to at least where then for a few hours. So those are just important but price obviously plays a role too
10 Reply Comfort, within a reasonable price range. Too expensive and I probably won't buy them.
I don't care about the brand, but know some brands will assure a very high comfort level.
10 Reply1.4K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Comfort and style are of the most importance. If they’re not comfortable and stylish, I won’t wear them, so there’s no point in buying them.
10 Reply507 opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Depends shoes for what occasion/task. Price is rather secondary but I don't like to be scammed with obscene expensive stuff.
10 ReplyComfort all the way! When I bought Adidas running shoes, within a week of use, my foot was in massive pain for 2-3 months. Couldnt play soccer or snything. That shiw didn't distribute my weight evenly.
You forgot style in your question!10 Reply2.1K opinions shared on Fashion & Beauty topic. Buying shoes is always about comfort. Style is next but if they aren't comfortable I'm not buying. Cost is about the last thing on my list when buying new shoes.

I have work shoes (dress shoes) that are in decent condition and I have regular shoes for everything there is literally a hole worn through the sole where my toes are so my toes are shoeless. I'll get around to buying new shoes some day. Maybe.

I prefer comfort. As for price, I mainly wear trainers, which I can get quite cheap at a discount sportswear shop. Formal shoes, I just buy online from Clarks.
