The women reacted exactly how most people will react to being told by a stranger they're pretty and asked for their number right away. Honestly, the guys would have done the same had they not been taken aback by the fact that a random lady on the street was asking them for their number.
If it was a societal expectation that women were the "pursurers" and men were the "persued," the reactions would have reversed. It's just a societal stereotype that plays out up front and center to any social setting.

Imagine if you were having a terrible day at home or somewhere else and on top of that you're getting asked out constantly and even honked or whistled at. Tell me that wouldn't annoy you.
If more girls were asking guys at the exact same rate as vice-versa and doing all that honking + whistling, I imagine more guys would say no too.
It's biology! It's the job of the male to put its sperm in every female willing and it's the female's job to be selective about from whom she receives the sperm. That's the reason why the women are not immediately interested in a guy wanting them and the guys are in immediately interested in every female.
@275153 Maybe back when there was no protective available this would be necessary because then the woman would end up pregnant and the guy could bail out. Now with the invention of protection, anyone can get into a relationship and not have kids if they don't want to.

As for the guy who didn't take no for an aswer and continued to try and talk to you, imagine being him how he has asked out girl after girl who continue to reject him with out giving him a chance. So, again there really is no reason to be rude and there really is no justification for it if the individual in question is polite.

I also got another case. What if you do accept getting asked out but were only doing it to be cool (that happened too in the past), while there is either no chemistry, no don't really think the is your guy or you just don't feel like dating but still accepted it... then you're trying to distance yourself or give out reasons such as ''I would like you but I got I'm a busy person'' or other types of reasons so the guy gets the message but nope, he gets even more persistent and calls you.
So much for not wanting to reject.
the second situation that I just started has happened already with 3 guys in the past that couldn't get the hints that I really wanted to say no but indirectly... that's what got me for not saying no thanks right away.

You stated we should empathize with these women who where incredibly rude I was just giving you insight into some of these men so that you could try and empathize with them. At no point in time did I ever suggest that you had to say yes, not once. The only reason why you claim that is what it "seemed" like was as a justification for not having to empathize with men and by extention acknowledge the inappropriateness of these womens' behavior. You can reject a person that is exceptable and expected. Telling a person to f-off is not, leading a person on by being vague isn't either. If you clearly state it that should be enough. So we are back to where we started, you want men to empathize with these women but do not feel the need to reciprocate. There is no excuse for rudeness when the person themselves where not rude.
If I was having a terrible day and some random girl hit on me I'd feel ten times better

Actually, he has a point, I live in New York and go to school around a popular spot and have NEVER seen that happened, at best I've seen random dudes try hitting on my mom, but even then, it's never actually disrespectful

I just don't trust people. Especially when they come up to me in public... like what do you want? I was sexually assaulted once (yes, I am a nice girl, always been to everyone). If a stranger opens the door for me, I will say thank you to them but keep walking. I would also be polite and hold doors open... that is being polite and respectful ("chivalrous"). But I don't give my phone number out to just anyone (men or women) and I don't stop to chat to a stranger on the street.

This is so funny, and most guys who aren't sniveling white knights will confirm that this is how most women respond to unwanted interest. They don't respond in a classy or, I don't know, human way. Most young women are so full of themselves that they have a hard time seeing men as anything more than attention machines created for their entertainment. I just think that it depends on the girl. These women probably get hit on a lot and are tired of it. But if you were to try and strike up a conversation and then ask most women wouldn't be so hostile. The girl didn't say "oh you're really cute can I have your number? " she started with a hi. The guy just said you're really cute. And as for the girl who said f*ck off.. She was probably having a bad day or was just tired of being hit on.

I have to say the video is bullshit, but.. the way the women defend themselves here is gold. Like some have so weak arguments that it makes the video feel more realistic and comparable, I know that there are a lot of jerks (women and men) and this discussion is solely based on how men got rejected by the girl kind of jerk. Maybe that "fuck of" girl had a bad past with guys approaching her finally hurting her + a bad day equals being harsh to someone + the fact that she is not that subtle using the right words on the other hand she could just be a rude person that also exist often in this world, the approach of the guy towards the girl running the opposite direction gave the guy only a short amount of time to analyze which type of girl she is, in a normal situation (me) there should be a observation going on to find out how the person you are attracted to reacts to others so you can be aware what you're facing. I think women definitely have it easy in the dating life. They can easily pick up on a guy very quick. Men are definitely more aggressive than women when it comes to dating, when a woman hits on a guy he's definitely more open about it. When a man hits on a woman, there's definitely more strategy to it.

@RKelly97 there are just as many female psychos out there, men are not at a lower risk. At least women get their issues and fears acknowledged. Like for example, it's wrong to expect a woman to put out on a date but it's okay to shame a man who won't pay for the date. well the guy's stop wasn't very congruent. i've had more success with the 'yad stop'. even men will stop when you do it. way more aggressive but that's what women like: confident, high status alpha males.
