The women reacted exactly how most people will react to being told by a stranger they're pretty and asked for their number right away. Honestly, the guys would have done the same had they not been taken aback by the fact that a random lady on the street was asking them for their number.
If it was a societal expectation that women were the "pursurers" and men were the "persued," the reactions would have reversed. It's just a societal stereotype that plays out up front and center to any social setting.
@Jager66 i understand the editing thing, but catcalling someone and/or randomly asking them for their number out of the blue is like a telemarketer calling you to ask for your money. Most would straight up hang up/ shut down someone that does something like that.
Women didn't kill shit. if we was treated as a human beings to began with (when we FIRST got on this earth), we wouldve never had a reason to feel some of the ways we are feeling
Also, what makes you think women have not been rudely rejected by men to reject another man rudely? Or she's annoyed af from being asked out EVERYDAY by horny pigs? Hmm?

They picked out the meanest girls and made that into "how all girls reject guys" nice. Most girls aren't like that, just like there are guys who will reject girls in the nastiest ways.
In our society it's still the guy who "should" ask out the girl, and girls are just being taught to not accept everyone and take care of themselves.
you women complain selfcenteredly how all men should have to walk a mile in your shoes when if you'd ever walked a couple feet in ours you'd know its the truth
@aliencreature That is not how most girls are, if that's how you're rejected always, the it's probably because you only go for the 10's who knows they're the shit.
I kinda agree with you, there are many nice girls who won't just ignore and run like those type of girls like in the vid are strange anyways. The approach between a guy and a girl iniciates with a smile from one of them, if not the girl will maybe be like in the vid. Guys are usually more straight forward so they stop for a talk like in the vid but can also say no
@EnglishArtsteacher And you know that because you have approached majority of females below the age of 30? I have met very few girls who would reject someone like that, and they wouldn't do it in all cases. You are over exaggerating.
Thats what i call equality! The guy should ask the girl out but not otherwise and the girl should get an equal pay as a guy. Purrrrfect! Feminism at its finest, delivering a great job since 1900.
You did see I said "in our society" and put " around the "should", right? I guess you didn't actually see that, since you just want to be butthurt and blame the world for your problems. Also you do know that feminism got women the right to vote and have abortions, right? Feminism wasn't always bad, but I guess you just wanna be a part of the "fuck feminism!" mainstream shit, I wouldn't expect anything else from a weak minded fuck. @Dipsy
Imagine if you were having a terrible day at home or somewhere else and on top of that you're getting asked out constantly and even honked or whistled at. Tell me that wouldn't annoy you.
It's biology! It's the job of the male to put its sperm in every female willing and it's the female's job to be selective about from whom she receives the sperm. That's the reason why the women are not immediately interested in a guy wanting them and the guys are in immediately interested in every female.
@275153 Maybe back when there was no protective available this would be necessary because then the woman would end up pregnant and the guy could bail out. Now with the invention of protection, anyone can get into a relationship and not have kids if they don't want to.
Also, just because you're explaining it from a biological view, doesn't mean that a guy should do all that disrespectful whistling and honking. It's still damn annoying. It's not manly. It's a straight forward jerk.
So by putting an unfair standard on men (men being the one who has to initiate) its okay for women to be rude to them? I get annoyed a lot, doesn't mean I tell people to f off or insult them.
@hellionthestage I didn't say it was ok. I said try imagine getting hit on constantly by several who want sex (unsoliciated whistling and honkings.. that's what it is, just like unsolicited calls from a telemarketer). At some point, you don't know who is real anymore. by the way, I've never been rude. However, I had a guy that insisited on talking even after I smiled and said ''Thanks but no thanks''.
oh yeah someone telling me i'm handsome or attractive and that they want to spend time with me after a long hard day, that would be SOOOOO annoying. bitch no one EVER honks or whistles. EVER. i've never actually seen either of those things happen to a woman in my entire life
you dont have to. its not fucking rocket science, and even if it was, i kinda understand rocket science so it wouldn't be a problem. i get what you're saying, you're just wrong, stupid, and uber entitled and up your own ass
@aliencreature, actually it was at the very beginning of your post. The asker made a question and we all stated our opinions; that's what it's there for. You on the other hand came in with garbage.
Not surprising if you're having bad luck in life and frankly I don't give a damn.
You didn't say it was okay, thats true but you did attempt to justify there actions. As for the guy who didn't take no for an aswer and continued to try and talk to you, imagine being him how he has asked out girl after girl who continue to reject him with out giving him a chance. Imagine how every one says to him that you have to be persistent women love when a guy is persistent. So, again there really is no reason to be rude and there really is no justification for it if the individual in question is polite.
@hellionthesage The way you structured, while it might be tough asking out several people, it did sounded like you were trying to say ''well imagine being that guy, shouldn't you have said yes even if you didn't want to''? I also got another case. What if you do accept getting asked out but were only doing it to be cool (that happened too in the past), while there is either no chemistry, no don't really think the is your guy or you just don't feel like dating but still accepted it... then you're trying to distance yourself or give out reasons such as ''I would like you but I got I'm a busy person'' or other types of reasons so the guy gets the message but nope, he gets even more persistent and calls you. So much for not wanting to reject.
the second situation that I just started has happened already with 3 guys in the past that couldn't get the hints that I really wanted to say no but indirectly... that's what got me for not saying no thanks right away.
''well imagine being that guy, shouldn't you have said yes even if you didn't want to?" no, that was neither stated nor implied and I think you very much know that. You stated we should empathize with these women who where incredibly rude I was just giving you insight into some of these men so that you could try and empathize with them. At no point in time did I ever suggest that you had to say yes, not once. The only reason why you claim that is what it "seemed" like was as a justification for not having to empathize with men and by extention acknowledge the inappropriateness of these womens' behavior. You can reject a person that is exceptable and expected. Telling a person to f-off is not, leading a person on by being vague isn't either. If you clearly state it that should be enough. So we are back to where we started, you want men to empathize with these women but do not feel the need to reciprocate. There is no excuse for rudeness when the person themselves where not rude.
Actually, he has a point, I live in New York and go to school around a popular spot and have NEVER seen that happened, at best I've seen random dudes try hitting on my mom, but even then, it's never actually disrespectful
Imagine I had a terrible day and would get hit on by some cuties, that would be cool.
You seem to be used to getting guys attention, so used that it gave you an ego of being harsh to random guys who are just doing what girls told them is right. The whistling is anoying but I feel it might be better if you never have any guys attention again
@OpenWine actually I never gave out those responses to a guy wanting to talk to me. I'm just saying I can see how it does not just your point of view but theirs.
sure because that would be just convenient to your politically correct ideals where everything fits into this pretty picture you've painted for yourself
I just don't trust people. Especially when they come up to me in public... like what do you want? I was sexually assaulted once (yes, I am a nice girl, always been to everyone). If a stranger opens the door for me, I will say thank you to them but keep walking. I would also be polite and hold doors open... that is being polite and respectful ("chivalrous"). But I don't give my phone number out to just anyone (men or women) and I don't stop to chat to a stranger on the street.
This is so funny, and most guys who aren't sniveling white knights will confirm that this is how most women respond to unwanted interest. They don't respond in a classy or, I don't know, human way. Most young women are so full of themselves that they have a hard time seeing men as anything more than attention machines created for their entertainment. Feminism has certainly worked wonders on the female psyche.
Does this rant have anything to do with chivalryor the death of it? Sounds more like it has to do with rejection and resentment. Look, Cuz! When you ask a lady out, you can't expect her to respond the way you want. Otherwise you are simply telling her, and that $#!+ just don't work.
I just think that it depends on the girl. These women probably get hit on a lot and are tired of it. But if you were to try and strike up a conversation and then ask most women wouldn't be so hostile. The girl didn't say "oh you're really cute can I have your number? " she started with a hi. The guy just said you're really cute. And as for the girl who said f*ck off.. She was probably having a bad day or was just tired of being hit on.
Does saying "fuck off" to strangers because you're having a bad day or being hit on make the world a better place?
I get asked for money from homeless people every day, and many of them creep me out (to say nothing about homeless people can and do hurt other people). Should I tell them to "fuck off?"
@Bluemax no I don't condone this type of behavior I was just saying maybe this is what she was thinking in her head. I don't think anyone should make anyone else's day shitty. It doesn't help anyone.
I have to say the video is bullshit, but.. the way the women defend themselves here is gold. Like some have so weak arguments that it makes the video feel more realistic and comparable, I know that there are a lot of jerks (women and men) and this discussion is solely based on how men got rejected by the girl kind of jerk. Actually I shouldn't even call them jerks because the guy should've sensed the girls vibe towards him (yes the guy has to be an ant and notice the girls negative body lenguage) so he could abort the approach. The way guys react (straightforward, by using words) and the way girls do it (by showing positive [smile] or negative body lenguage) are different so that's why the approach on a guy seems nicer in the vid, even tought it's a shitty vid. And then there's the "guys should approach girls" kicking in and the discussion begins
@Bluemax as I said I am a guy and I also never got that response, maybe because I never actually straight of asked for a girls number on the street. In a normal situation I ask for the way and if I see that girl was nice I regret not asking for more
I understand that, but it doesn't answer my question, does it? Do you encourage a "fuck off" response to every stranger if that stranger fails to read body language?
@Bluemax I wouldn't do because that is not part of my personality. Also I don't build up a pattern in my mind. Maybe that "fuck of" girl had a bad past with guys approaching her finally hurting her + a bad day equals being harsh to someone + the fact that she is not that subtle using the right words on the other hand she could just be a rude person that also exist often in this world, the approach of the guy towards the girl running the opposite direction gave the guy only a short amount of time to analyze which type of girl she is, in a normal situation (me) there should be a observation going on to find out how the person you are attracted to reacts to others so you can be aware what you're facing. I know that fuck of response is just wrong in terms of my beliefs and who I am, it could be the right answer in someelses mind.
Chivalry was a code of conduct men had towards women...
Not.

Look at all the Misandry in this thread, it's disgusting!!
Guys complain that some women are way to harsh when they reject you and it's like every man hatter in the world shows up to openly discuss how it's totally socially acceptable to treat other people like shit because vagina.
Many aren't even bothering to hide their blatant Misandry by going anon, they honest to god are proud of their hate.
This video proves absolutely nothing, their is entirely possible that the clips were selectively edited in to paint men in a positive light and women in a bad one. Notice how all the women rejected the guy rudely and all the men politely declined her advances? Yeah, I don't trust this video at all. Come back when you have some more solid evidence.
I might consider the responses of some of the people on this board to be evidence, but I think you're right. I think there's some editing going on here.
Most women don't behave this way... seems like they picked the worst ones and threw them in there. I've been asked out by 6 guys in my life (I'm 17) and I've rejected all of them in the nicest possible way. I'm super sweet and usually give them a hug and tell them what a great guy they are... not all women are rude bitches
I think women definitely have it easy in the dating life. They can easily pick up on a guy very quick. Men are definitely more aggressive than women when it comes to dating, when a woman hits on a guy he's definitely more open about it. When a man hits on a woman, there's definitely more strategy to it. Yeah, I can see how many men would call it unfair but what things in life aren't unfair? You win some and you lose some. Get over it.
@RKelly97 there are just as many female psychos out there, men are not at a lower risk. At least women get their issues and fears acknowledged. Like for example, it's wrong to expect a woman to put out on a date but it's okay to shame a man who won't pay for the date. A battered woman can go to a shelter, a battered man can go live on the street.
Eh, that video wasn't really 'fair' i guess. Im sure there were plenty of girls who were nice just like the guys. They just edited it so it would seem the girls were assholes. Plus the girl had a totally different approach then the guy. The guy just went "Hey you're cute, can i get your number?" while the girl introduced herself and everything
Why on earth would you tell someone to 'f*ck off'? I'd say I'm sorry, your really cute and all but I have a boyfriend!! Minimise the blow women!! Sorry, I don't get those women at all!! Show a bit of compassion for crying a loud!! :-( I would never do that*full stop* no matter if the guy was a creepy eighty year old!! Okay... I might change that bit, but ya know what I mean!!!

nope, this video has been edited and cherry picked to cause a reaction, it's click bait. Most people are not total fucking cunts.
@Jager66 i understand the editing thing, but catcalling someone and/or randomly asking them for their number out of the blue is like a telemarketer calling you to ask for your money. Most would straight up hang up/ shut down someone that does something like that.

This is one of those questions where one gender is upvoting and the other is downvoting. lol
All the whiney, pathetic guys are down voting, they just won't accept that it could be their own fault they can't get laid. @R3d_Anonymous
@Anonymous I'm not saying this video is legit (it's probably fake) but most females under the age of 30 are just like this.
I kinda agree with you, there are many nice girls who won't just ignore and run like those type of girls like in the vid are strange anyways. you can't tell me what too dooooooo :)))
@aliencreature my reply is really in response to your insults and wanted garbage rantings AIRHEAD.

@Opinion Owner
Actually, he has a point, I live in New York and go to school around a popular spot and have NEVER seen that happened, at best I've seen random dudes try hitting on my mom, but even then, it's never actually disrespectful
if a guy is respectful it really shouldn't that simple
On the flip side, I've know girls to get extremely annoyed because they don't get any attention. They start to have slf doubt and lose confidence.
Imagine I had a terrible day and would get hit on by some cuties, that would be cool.

I'd be flattered, actually. Stuff like that would just about make my day, if anything it'd put me in a good mood.
I bet they edited out the girls that were nice and sweet about it, because it proved their hypothesis wrong.
sure because that would be just convenient to your politically correct ideals where everything fits into this pretty picture you've painted for yourself
You are much more sensible than many others, anonymous.
@Bluemax Thank you! I don't want to be rude or disrespectful to others, I just keep to myself mostly.
This is so funny, and most guys who aren't sniveling white knights will confirm that this is how most women respond to unwanted interest. They don't respond in a classy or, I don't know, human way. those girls had no chill, or respect, a simple no sorry, would have been sufficient

Agreed, but some people on this board seem to be encouraging that behavior as if it's empowering.
it's not "empowering." It's rude, and lacks "elegance and grace" as my grandmother would say.
Yes men, please explain to us women how awful we are
I think women definitely have it easy in the dating life.
Not really. We still have to be careful with potential psychos and stalkers. Living in fear and being careful isn't fun at all.
here's another pretty cool social experiment:

Guys have crazy stalker girls too. My best friend had one of them. She was craaaazy.
@Jager66 , well said.
"I think women definitely have it easy in the dating life."
I know plenty of people who would disagree, myself among them.
@Bluemax, that's why I put "I think".
I suspect some purposeful editing, too.
This is sad.
But those women probably thought he was a fuckboy.
what does that even mean? its just a pejorative term to justify this kind of fucked up behavior. fuckboy is to men as n** is to black people
Why on earth would you tell someone to 'f*ck off'? I'd say I'm sorry, your really cute and all but I have a boyfriend!! Minimise the blow women!! Sorry, I don't get those women at all!! Show a bit of compassion for crying a loud!! :-( I would never do that*full stop* no matter if the guy was a creepy eighty year old!! Okay... I might change that bit, but ya know what I mean!!!
