Is it weird if a girl dm's a guy on instagram?

A long time ago i followed a guy on instagram and he followed me back. I sometimes likes his pictures and he also likes mines. Sometimes he even likes some older ones randomly and i like some back, he has been doing this a couple of times so i assume he finds me pretty.

I still think it would be a bit weird if i dmd him. What do you think? What is also holding me back is that he follows a lot of girls and for me its just him i really find attractive because i rarely find someone interesting.

As a guy, I can assure you that if he is interested he would be ecstatic.
Most guys are rarely approached, and when it happens it is special and memorable.
A guy might receive a compliment once a month, or even once a year. As such, with their scarcity their effect is magnified.
If a guy told you you had a nice butt, you might be mad, you might be flattered, but the odds you have heard that before are significantly higher than your male counterpart. As such, a compliment like that would likely make his day, and could be remembered fondly for weeks, or even years.

Long story short, if you are interested, go for it.
