Do guys use peripheral vision to check girls out

sorry if I spelled peripheral wrong but whatever I've noticed on quite a few occasions guys trying to look at me from the side without actually staring at my face. They will either check me out from the corner of the eye or turn around to the side pretending to look at something at the side like a paper on a bulletein board and I just wanted to know why do guys do that?How will they get a good profile of the girl if they only try to see her from the side?

lol, they don't want you to know that they're looking so they try to be all discrete. lol, I might not be a guy but I do that to guys so I wouldn't doubt it if they do it to girls. besides sometimes I'm feeling self conscious when I do that to a guy so the guy doing it to you might like you but not be comfortable. complement him if you can, and who knows maybe if you boost his confidence enough it might turn into something.

I guess their trying hard enough with out you noticing. It's sort of a compliment, I think, because I guess they want to save face in front of a very pretty girl by not being sort forward. Maybe you make their hands sweat and knees buckle. Dudes do it to me too. It's no thing.

I use to but I found out that you could get false ideas. You can't get a clear look of what the person is staring at. They could look at you or they could look at something else, it just gives you the image in your brain that they are looking at you.
