Should I do the staring contest with my crush?

I just re-watched The Fault in Our Stars, and one of the scenes showed Hazel competing Augustus with a staring contest, and it kinda reminded me how my crush stares at me all of the time. I thought it would be super funny to do. Should I? Or would he think it would be creepy?
