Why is he ignoring my friend request?

I talk to a guy that comes into my work a few days a week.
Weve been talking since April & he did I could add him in Facebook.
I added him a week ago on Monday & I’ve heard he’s been posting online from others.
he's been into work since then & has been speaking to me normally.
What do you think is going on?

I have gone back to his page & it still says Friend Request Sent
