My crush has mood swings?

ive had a crush on this guy for almost a year now and he's not the same as he used to be. he told my friend he's going through some kind of depression and sometimes he's rude to me for no reason. And then when I'm not really paying attention to him he tries to talk to me and he pokes me and what not. I don't know what's going on, should I give up on him?

Do you know whether he's getting treatment for his depression? if not maybe suggest he goes and get the medication if he is just bare with him he might not be getting the correct dosage.

it seems to me he likes having you around so just try and grit your teeth and bare it if its worth it for you
