What does it mean when a guy tells you "You are so savage"?

English is not my first language and I've seen "savage" has both positive and negatve meanings.

There's a guy who asks me out on a date for a month already but I am hella busy and could never make it.

The other day I was invited at his party and he approached me when I was talking about my adventures with girls I met at the party. He asked them if he could steal me for a moment.

After that we talked a bit and he told me I intrigue him a lot and asked if I met someone else.
I told him I am too busy to meet guys. He said he wanted to f*ck up my plan. I said no one can do it. Then he asked me what's your plan? And I said "I don't have a plan".
then he responded "You are savage! You are so savage"
Is it a good thing?

Not really. In any sense of the word being savage is a bad thing. It’s literal definition is an uncivilized violent and cruel. But the way people use it now is stupid and retarded. When teens say that to each other it’s usually because their friend just did something stupid that they themselves wouldn’t do. Or if someone is being bold in a way. So being called Savage is most definitely a bad thing.

Either he’s really dumb (no offense I’m not trying to be rude) or you’re doing something that he find to be strange or different in a way that he wouldn’t do. Or maybe he was trying to impress you by saying that because nothing else came to mind. I don’t know but the moral of the story is being savage is bad.
