Is being called thicc by your crush a compliment, or?

My crush said I was thicc yesterday and I don't know if it's supposed to be a compliment or not, but I don't like being called that bc I do view it as a negative thing and it bothers me. I've struggled with my weight all my life, and I am nowhere near obese, but I'm not Angelina Jolie. I'm more like Taylor Swift's area of "thick", because we all know she did gain some (not in a bad way!!!) I don't like that he called me that and I don't know why he would say such a thing when he knows I'm not real confident. To all the dudes out there, is it a compliment or no? Girls?

I believe it was a compliment. Typically when we call a girl "thicc", we mean it in a good way.

He probably just wanted to make you feel better about yourself by saying that you held your weight where it counts. I don't think he said it in a mean spirited kind of way, he said it to boost your self esteem and to get you to like him more.

He said I was "thicc with a Q" so "thiqq"? What's that supposed to mean 😂😂😂 his best friend said it means he was calling me attractive and that I look nice buuuuuut with my low self esteem and body image, I take it as an insult or whatever

It means you've got some really nice and wide hips and a nice butt, meaning you have an extra prominent hourglass figure signifying fertility and health. I wouldn't worry too much about it. :)

I get it, it's hard to tell if people are being genuine or not when you have body image issues. But trust me, I think he's attracted to your nice and shapely feminine figure.

Lol dude, I do not have either of those things (not insulting myself, just straight facts lol). I have an apple shaped body, which means someone who carries their weight around their middle and has perfectly skinny legs and arms. A Google pic would probably help a lot more, but I do not even have a butt 😂 I have to buy tight pants that make it look like I have one llm

I wouldn't use it much personally, but it's definitely (well. More than likely) a compliment.

Probably trying to increase your confidence too. I wouldn't be at all disheartened by it if I were you.

Well I'm not slim, but like I said I'm not anywhere near obese or anything. I have an apple shaped body (which means a woman who carries all the weight around her middle but has good legs) and everyone always says that I'm not fat 😅 I don't know what he prefers, but he said "thicc with a Q" so "thiqq"? Oh God lol, if he does, that's not gonna happen because I'm saving myself 😂😂 that's the first time he's actually complimented my body. At first he would just tell me my hair looks nice and that I always smell good (he seems to really like my Taylor Swift Wonderstruck lol)
