I [20 M] got invited by a longtime friend [21 F] to go camping, just us two. What shall I do?

We've known each other for a few years now and she's always been a bit flirty with me, but never had she been anywhere near this bold. While I would love to go camping and I like her company quite a lot, I have noticed my friend does have a tendency to get more touchy and overall affectionate when the two of us are alone. Which on our potential trip would be pretty much always.

I have never found her flirting to be a problem and I even flirt back oftentimes, but with us two spending so much time together, she'd probably get even more courageous.
This is where I get a bit confused. What if she makes moves on me to the point where I begin feeling uncomfortable and feel forced to knock her off? Knowing her, I'm sure something like that happening would make the rest of our trip really awkward, which would be the last thing I'd want...

And am I just being paranoid about this? Maybe she really is just interested in going camping and chose me because of our similar interests and the fact that I can provide a tent and have some experience with camping. And bringing up these concerns of mine to her beforehand would only turn the whole thing weird from the get-go in that case...

Any help would be appreciated, and I thank anyone who's kind enough to share their opinion in advance!

So you don't want her to get more intimate and affectionate with you? Do you have feelings for the girl or do you wanna move at a slower sort of pace? That's what I'm wondering about

Otherwise just be chill, have fun, and don't overthink. If she does decide to take it up a notch, then you should just be direct with her in a honest and genuine way that you're not totally comfortable with that yet, if that makes sense. I don't think there's another way around it unless you wanna just go with the flow, but that's up to you

I do feel attracted to her, but if something were to happen, I'd want it to progress slowly, rather than all at once. Problem is, she's a bit of an all or nothing kind of person, reason why I think she may grow very bold during our trip.

I would be more concerned about bears, poisonous snakes, and mosquitos than an overly affectionate female. But there are some measures you can take to ensure that she doesn't want to hug you and snuggle a lot. One strategy might be to leave the toilet paper at home, as well as anything to wash yourself with. Load up on the bug spray and the body odor and you should be fine.

Hmm, I don't think it's likely to find such dangerous animals where we would stay... And your strategy, while doubtlessly effective, would probably sour our friendship for very different reasons.

I mean, it'd be a bit risky going on that trip knowing that if she makes a move it'll make you uncomfortable. I'd say go if you're 100% into her, to avoid any awkward situations. If not, just kindly decline.

It depends on the boldness of her move I'd say. I'm just concerned she may take the chance and try to go as far as she can with it to the point where I may not feel comfortable.

This sounds very much like an invitation to sex. If you want to go, but don’t want to have sex with her,, you should tell her exactly that.

You really should clarify this before you go. Otherwise she may be very disappointed when you reject her invitation, and that would make the whole trip a sad affair.

I would suggest to just enjoy the trip and do your best to keep things casual if things go a little too far know your limits and make sure she knows them too
