It just sounds like teenagers saying stuff. He probably realized that tackling a girl could either go extremely well if you're both just playing around and being flirtatious, or it could go terribly wrong if there's a miscommunication and he does something inappropriate, or even worse he hurts you and breaks your arm by accident or something.
I used to play fight with my girlfriend, but it's different once you're in a relationship and you're comfortable and used to physical contact with each other.
