Could a relationship with a 22 year old and a 47 year old work?

I'm a 47 year old guy and she's 22. I've never married or had children. She's a single mom. I look like I could be her kids dad.

Anyways we met a year ago and I always thought she acted weird around me and there was a lot of tension. I started to get the feeling she might like me.

The last two months I keep running into her randomly since were working in the same industry though doing completely different stuff. I didn't like the tension so tried to be more friendly and she seemed to like that. She started being really nice to me and standing super close to me when we talked.

I saw her again tonight at a social event and she came with someone else. Yet as the night went on she seemed to only want to be around me and have eyes only for me. I talked about things I was going to do and she kept offering to help me out and seemed to be trying to plan for things for us to do. She obviously likes me and I'm thinking of asking her out but I'm hesitant. I find her attractive but I wonder if it could work and I'm not interested in just screwing around.

Think there's too many negatives for you if I'm being honest. While her youth might be enticing, there's the chance you're going to be a new daddy to kids that aren't your own and that would happen sooner than you think, you might have to financially help support her and her kids which could affect your bank account and savings and eventually you're going to be in your 70's while she is in her 50's and she'll be dealing with a senior citizen and that might not appeal to her in the long run. I would bow out.

I think they both deserve more in different ways. A 22 year old deserves a person that they can start a new life with and not some older guy that already has what he wants in life. A 47 year old deserves an established woman that they can come together and start looking for ways to enjoy older age together.

If you are ok getting hurt later in life then go for it
By that I mean you should know that when you enter late 50s 60s she might not.. be with you !! Chances are there.
