We definitely don't forget about her, at least not for a good long while. We just kick ourselves for not having the courage to talk to her. That's the sort of thing we lay awake at night thinking about. Trust me, we really want to, but man is it scary. More than the rejection itself, we're scared of annoying her or making her feel uncomfortable. I can take a "no" no problem, but being looked at like I'm a creep is enough to send my self-esteem into the ground for a long time.

It depends on her. I don't consider myself shy anymore. But I do consider myself and introvert. And I got strict rule that I only give the same energy I'm shown. It doesn't matter how much I like her. If she does not give the SAME energy back it ENDS there.

Yes. I've watched some of my shiest guy friends move mountains to be with their girlfriend/wives. My SO once flew clear across the country for me (sweet) and I reciprocated because I knew how much that effort was for him.
