Led me on for months then rejected me, but still wants to be friends?

WHAT THE EFF JUST HAPPENED? This guy leads me on for months: texting/calling everyday, wanting to hang out, tells me he never expected to meet someone like me, breaks up with his girlfriend etc . Then when I ask him to clarify what he wants from me, he says just friends and starts making stupid excuses. I for one don't consider him a friend and his "friendship" was obviously not what kept me around all this time. So now I am done with it all and I think he should get out of my life. Except he keeps texting me asking me if I'm mad at him, basically won't leave me alone. Finally I told him that this situation is making me feel stupid and he says "I'm sorry you feel that way, I didn't mean to lead you on." Condescending much!?! I'm so over this! This loser needs to get out of my life. Suggestions on how I should continue to handle this/how I should act? When I think of all the time and tears wasted on him, I feel like throwing up! Thanks!

Sounds like he doesn't know what he wants. It's best to keep doing what you're doing: cutting him out of your life and moving on! You'll find someone eventually who doesn't play games! : )
