Ignoring ex when they're trying to reach out?

If your relationship didn't involve arguing or cheating. You both truly cared for each other, but it just didn't seem to be working right now, would you ignore them when they try to contact you? I only contacted him once since we stopped talking a few months ago and he never responded.

Why do you ignore someone that you know cared about you, but was having a rough time in life and couldn't keep up with the relationship?

I'm having a hard time understanding why my ex is ignoring me. I never cheated, never cussed him out, gave him all the space in the world. He was the only guy in my life and he knew it. I know I broke up with him and that the words I used didn't come out the way I had planned, but I never thought he would cut me out of his life and act as if it all meant nothing to him.

Because what's the point if your not getting back together? My ex tried contacting me for a while after we broke up and found a new boyfriend. I knew their was no chance of getting back together so stopped responding to her calls/texts etc. He probably doesn't want to be friends so knows its better to forget you and leave you in the past. It hurts but its part of relationships. If you didn't want him out of your life you would still be dating him. You broke up with him. It's his choice if he doesn't want to know you anymore. I'm not trying to sound harsh but I do the same, if its over, its over period!

Because he's hurt, and for a guy to talk to a girl he deeply cared about it's like a hazard to our health. It takes plenty of time for some of us to rejuvenate to that state were we can be a friends again. I'm going through this right now.

So if your ex reached out to you, you would ignore her?

I contacted him too much right after the breakup which of course was probably hurting him more as I look back on it now. We haven't talked in a few months so I thought I would reach out, but he has totally cut me off. It sucks.

I mean, its best not to check on him for about a month which what my ex did. No, I didn't really ignore her when se called me te other day but, I explained to her the samething I told you. So it's kinda like if you choose to bother me now it's gonna be more like p*ss off. But I doubt I she cares anyways with her rebound relationship.

That's the problem. I reached out within that first month. He was pissed towards the end and then we stopped contact. It's been a couple months and I reached out, but nothing. I just hope he will contact me some day. Hopefully not ten years from now. I really cared about him and I left so much unsaid, but he never gave me a chance to talk.

Yeah it always suck when you never get that closure. My of exs I didn't really get back into contact with her for like maybe 4-5 years later.

You should consider it a blessing that he doesn't want to reply to you. If he did, you would hold on to him more. My rule is...only contact my ex when and if I know that I have no motive for doing so other than to say hi. If I feel that I'm not over him, still love/like him, still want to get back with him...etc, then no!

You don't need to understand why he's doing or not doing the things you want him to do. He's no longer in your life so it really shouldn't matter. Even if he tells you, are you really going to accept his answer?

Maybe he just doesn't want to talk to you. None of us can know why he won't answer you, obviously he doesn't want contact with you.
