Have you ever found yourself becoming someone's project?

Because I've never had friends, good genuine friends. I usually just stick with whoever sticks with me. Unfortunately they seem really nice at first. Their might be a few early signs of self centred behaviour but because they are new and don't know me it can sometimes come across as them just introducing themselves to you. But it can very quickly become clear that they have an over inflated opinion of themselves and will go above and beyond to maintain or achieve perfection. With trends, beauty treatments etc etc.
I on the other hand have a very whatever approach. When I'm ready I'll dress up but most days you'll see me and think I'm poor!
But the back handed comments start, followed by the lake behaviour, ie wanting you to be their photographer whilst they're "crap" at taking photos (zooming in too much or cropping your head or blurry pics followed by their boredom despite you taking lots for them...

Lol thats not a project. I’ve had some projects. You would be considered their personal assistant or the person they go to for company based off that description

I can't say that I am interested in being friends with people since they always seem to want you to do them 'favors' and without being mean it costs me a lot of my time and patience.
I was never a mean person but I became so after people treated me like I mentioned.
So effectively I happily don't have those kind of friends anymore.
I could be more sociable but I also don't give a hoot about the nonsense that a lot of people talk about. I think that's why my career never flourished. I don't go out enough, I don't have enough things to talk about with others to keep them interested.
There have been a few people that wish to take me under their wings because I come across as being in need of some 'help' but I have to ask do you have things doing every weekend? Museums, bars, clubs etc?

You dont need people to compliment you. I dont mean verbally, i mean physically. You can still have fun alone. Dont let people use you. Im so glad i cut people off long ago. And no im not the type to want to go out every weekend but yes i do go out every other weekend

What sort of things do you do? In my life if I don't organise anything I'd never do anything, so invariably my weekends are spent just walking the dog, doing Chores, the normal human things.
I work among people that have a lot financially so unfortunately I find myself having to find things that I do on the weekend to sound interesting.
I personally quite like the quieter life especially since my low iron means I don't have the energy...

The things i find fun, others would consider boring but it doesn't bother me. I might go to the grocery store, mall, skate store, casino, sports event, restaurant, movies, library or just joyriding. I dont force myself to leave the house unless im going on out of town vacation or something

I hear you, were similar in that sense. A lot of the things people do on the weekends revolve around group activities and it makes me wonder how they would cope when they have to do something alone. But when it's a one off you are fine. Oh well... Whatever my life is my life and I'm still living
