How to be less flirty?

Everyone says I can be such a flirt with every guy I come across but the thing is I think I'm just being friendly and most of the time I don't even realize I'm flirting it's just natural for me.

Once a guy friend told me he liked me and I said he's a good friend and like a brother to me but he still didn't get it and for some reason went MIA a few months ago everyone saying I broke his heart and was a tease etc but I'm meeting him and a few friends tomorrow and I don't want it to be uncomfortable. I just want to be great friends with him again but I'm not sure how I should act with him to be best friends again without giving him the wrong idea that I'm trying to flirt with him? or that I'm a flirt or a tease or whatever when I'm really not.

Guys and girls your advice would be very much appreciated here on how to come across as more friendly than flirty with my guy friends :)
