Does she like me? What signs give away she is not interested?

There is a coworker that I have been crushing on for the last few months. We have been talking for a couple of months now. I began to get to know her better and that's when I started crushing on her. So, I decided to perform a magic trick for her where I called her beautiful through the trick to express my feelings. I did it right in front of her bestie and two other girls that were walking by. (They just happen to be there when I started the trick.) She really liked it and even taped her selected card to her work monitor. She said it was a great trick and thanked me afterwards. I even called her stunning a few weeks ago and she said thanks as well, she doesn't seem irritated or bothered when I compliment her.

Another thing I notice is that she sometimes will respond quickly to my text messages. Or, she will not text back at all but, will respond in person when I see her at work. For example, I texted her about the magic trick on a Friday, she didn't text back but excitingly asked about it in person the following Monday.

As of now, I still don't think she likes me? But, she hasn't friend zoned me either, or at least not yet. She hasn't mentioned guys, having a boyfriend or hasn't seemed bother when I "hit on her". But, there is also really no signs of interest from her end.

I am just being cautious about my approach as I don't want to mess anything up or make things awkward at our workplace. It would be a whole different story if we didn't work together.

My gut says - no. She would make it clear if she did. There are exceptions but this is generally how women do business.


The only chance you have at this point is to be bold, be a man, be confident, and ask her out. Magic tricks, flirty texts, and so on are cute but if you want to seal the deal then show some actual desire and ask her out. Women liking a confident man is almost an undisputed fact of life at this point. Some may like the sweet, shy, timid guy, but even if they did then they would leave enough hints to lure him along.


It may be too late but at least you’ll know. Either she will say yes and move from there and if she doesn’t then you’re done. No flirting or desperate “I miss you” gestures. Oddly this can even sometimes result in her later deciding she did like your attention and coming back to revisit her feelings about you.

I do have one question though, what do you mean by it maybe too late? I was planning on asking her out the next time I see her so, I guess we will find out soon.
