How do I approach my dental assistant?

See, I have seen this girl at my dentists office 2 times. I found out that she is only a temp for now so I want to move in quickly before {if she gets} another temp position somewhere else. I have an appointment next Saturday and hope she will be assisting my Dentist. My question is , seeing as this might be my last time seeing her, how do I ask her out ? And if she's not in that Saturday, do I let my Dentist know I like her assistant? without sounding desperate or weird?

I half agree with what April says. Only the second paragraph though.

If she does end up being your dental assistant (or if you just end up seeing her in the office), NEVER go up to a girl and tell her she's beautiful!- First of all, this isn't the movies, girls don't fall in love with every guy that says their beautiful. Think about it, if she's that good looking, she gets told that all the time. What you want to do, is STAND out! You don't want to be like every drunk guy that approaches her in the bar, guy friend, girl friend, old perverted uncle, and mother. Because all these people tell her she's beautiful every day of her life.



Secondly, why in the world would you give her a business card, and put the ball in her court??? She has no reason to call you/play the game yet! (no offense). You have to take the initiative to engage her! Attraction is not a choice, you have to make her become attracted in you before she's willing to go on a date with you. (do you really think every attractive girl will up and call every guy that says "your beautiful, call me"?? NO! otherwise, she would be going on dates 24/7, and probably wouldn't have time to be a dental assistant!!!

What you want to do, is engage her in some playful banter. Try this opener: Approach her, and act like this is very important: "I've got a question for you, me and my friends have been arguing about this for for the last week, and we can't get a solid answer from anyone! This is really important! I have a $50 bet on the line here- Ok, do you floss BEFORE or AFTER you brush??

Nobody ever seems to know the answer to this? Geeze, you teeth people sure aren't good teachers" (get response) "DAMN! looks like I'm out $50...You know, I've had you clean my teeth two times so far, and you never even mentioned that I'm supposed to brush first!- thanks a lot!" She laughs "thats cute, you know your nose wiggles when you laugh?" (don't know why, but that line really opens them up, takes down the guard)- "ok, well, since I lost this bet, this kinda changes things. I WAS gonna ask you out for dinner, but since your costing me $50- I don't think that's gonna happen now...how about we go for a drink instead, and you can try to make it up to me?"

My thoughts were to keep it playful, get her to laugh and open up a bit. She should have about 5-10 minutes to prepare before my Dentist is ready. That might be my only "real" chance to conversate.

If you see the assistant tell her you think she's really beautiful and would like to take her out for lunch or dinner sometime to get to know her better. If you have a business card give it to her and put the ball in her court.

If the assistant isn't there you could always tell your dentist you noticed her assistant and found her attractive and highly recommend they hire her permanently, in a joking manner of course. Doing much more than that might make you the butt of an office joke :)
