If a guy asks you to watch a movie with him, then he has hidden motives?

I like this guy and we text everyday. Haven't been out on a date or kissed or anything. It's only during these past 2 months we've starting showing our interest..

But now, just today, he asked me if I wanted to watch a movie with him. I was really happy at first, but then many of my friends said: "Oh, yeah. It's an excuse to have sex with you", "He wants to hook up with you.", "It's an indicator that he wants your body."... Is all that really true? ):

If a guy invites you to watch a movie with him, does that mean he wants to do something sexually at his place? (He's 22, by the way, and I work with him.)

From a male perspective,

If he has his own place...I would say the odds are more in favor of him wanting to make the moves on you...It is private...there is a bedroom...you can add it up...

But you do hold the cards...you can refuse his advances if you are not ready... if he is truly any type of gentleman...he will back off and apologize immediately..

My concern is what type of work relationship do you have...He is not your direct supervisor correct? That can be very dicey/tricky in some work enviroments

He's working in another department, and we're on the same level, as in job-status. :) ... He's a really nice and gentle man, so I hope he'll act the same if I visit his place.

It maybe, but it may not be. It depends on the guy. He might be very genuine and really wants to see a movie with you. If he does have an ulterior motive, you will soon know as he will try something or drop very subtle hints (depends on the guy). If you go and you feel pressured, you have the right to say no and he should respect that. If it is any help, agree to go, but let people know where you are and make it clear that this is just a movie. He should respect that, might be a little confused if he is genuine.

I COULD be - there's no way of knowing really until you're there. It's a definite possibility - and 'dates' at a house can always seem kind of sketchy - maybe suggest you do something else if you don't want to risk it.

If you do decide to risk it - you can always say no; and learn from it.

Depends on the guy. He might just be simple trying to have some alone time with you. Like a little date. I've invited girls over to my apartment to watch a movie but had no intention of sleeping with them. I just liked them as was trying to date them.

It is a very intimate atmosphere so don't be surprised if he does try something.
