What are some reasons a guy friend would reject your hug?

yeah.. I think he thinks I still like him but I dont.. I barely ever did, and I think he drastically overestimated my feelings for him. I just wanna be friends like before but he's all weird about it. that's really rude imo to reject me as if he's the stronger one and I still like him. he wants to wait longer to be friends but I'm like wtf dude its been like months upon months since we were anything more and we barely were. so should I just be like f*** it but isn't that what he wants?

You "kinda dated?". You mean he liked you, you dated once or twice and. decided not for you, which then broke his heart, so he thinks there is something wrong with him.

Yeah, he has a hard time being around you because he is not.over it. Can't be friends until he is if ever. It may not be your fault, but stop trying to pretend like you don't know...

Well it's possible that he thinks sh*t got awkward between you two so he just does not want to hug you, or he knows it will probably never be the same and there won't ever be another chance so there's no need to hug.

Maybe you are the only one who sees a friendship between you two and he is just trying to be polite.

If he is obviously rejecting you then have some self respect and forget him, why waste your time on someone who thinks being your friend is a waste of time?

i agree... he was an important and close friend of mine which is why I tried to save the friendship but honestly at this point I don't think its worth the effort at all. next time I just won't say hi, and if he sees me I'll act cold. cause really I'm not down to play games.

Well don't dog him or anything, he'll just think you're a b***h just make it obvious that you have more important things to do and he isn't want of them. Just be so busy that he becomes just another face in the crowd.

You can either stop being his friend altogether, hopefully he gets the hint. Or, you have to do the really difficult option and tell him exactly what's going on. If guys don't get a straight answer they'll try to figure the situation out by reading body language and other stupid stuff. 9 times out of 10 we'll always make the wrong conclusion.
