How to become less approachable?

For the past 2 months lots of older men have been consistently hitting on me. every time I go out on my own to a store, mall, park, friends place etc. AT LEAST one older man will speak to me. Most of the time they're asking personal questions such as schooling, age (when I tell them all they say is I look much older and still don't back off), where I live, etc. Some would even have the audacity to ask for my number after! Rarely is it ever just a casual chat which I wouldn't mind since I'm a friendly person. The reason this bothers me is because I don't really want to be seen like that.. I don't even wear skimpy clothes, it doesn't make sense! I don't know what to do since I don't have a heart to tell them to "f*** off". What should I do to become less approachable?

I get older men hitting on me too sometimes, especially over the internet, the best thing to do is if they start talking make it brief and then go "i gotta go sorry" and say bye then walk off lol, that's what I do, I don't keep it going, this works especially when they start asking personal questions just go "err... no thanks *awkwardness* um... I really need to go now bye" lol. It really is awkward and they have no idea how awkward they make us feel as they are just so creepy and pervy, they should know by now were too young for them. I don't wear skimpy clothes and doesn't make sense to me ether, men just find anything about you to perv at.

FOR example if an old creepy guy comes to you and say.."How ya doing today little lady?" ... stop and say with your eyes bulged out ... "G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-G-O-O-O-O-O-O-O... BY the third "O" .. he should have walked away.

The earphone things is very useful. I have female friends that have this problem and this seems to work.

These do work. The only thing I really do to add onto it is put on a fake wedding ring when I KNOW I will be in a place or around someone who won't take no for an answer even after you do all this stuff. Once I got a boyfriend and started wearing some of his stuff (rings, spare dog tag, etc), a lot of guys backed off just from seeing it.

Wear head phones (if you're not listening to music, act like you are) and if they try to come up to you, glare at them, lol. Give them a look that says f*** off. Don't worry about hurting their feelings just do it, because guaranteed, they probably do that to every girl that they find attractive.

I had a friend girl with the same problem.she tried saying she had a boyfriend and a couple times I even pretended to be her boyfriend and that didn't work.the only time they stopped aproaching her was when I talked sh*t to them because they always said perverted things to her.i almost fought a few times because of this.you could try having a guy friend defend you from pervs.but if that's not an option for you ignore them and walk away.you could also have earphones in your ears just not on so they think you can't hear...hope I helped;)

Give them the "what do you want, fucck off look" link what you don't want to hurt their feelings, because your friendly, trust me your not hurting their feelings, I bet they try that on any other girl.

If some guy starts talking to you just don't be friendly and pretend like you gotta leave...or say you got a boyfriend and keep walking...or don't say anything at all and keep walking. Don't smile or do anything that would encourage a guy to keep trying.

Becoming less approachable might be real tough unless you walk around looking like a mess, which I wouldn't recommend.

I do when I'm walking but when I'm on the bus... There's almost no escaping. Sometimes I tell them I'm lesbian, doesn't work out either. I try not to smile but I just can't, it's too hard nor do I ever look too great either... ever. It doesn't make sense at all... But I'll try being more mean, thank you!

just don't smile, don't look at them. make an angry face. walk fast and don't turn your head to the sides, ignore everyting they say. that way you don't have to be rude to them because they will not come up to you. if they still do, say you gotta run for the bus, smile and leave.

And this is WHY guys won't approach girls at all. This kind of thinking and "don't talk to me" attitude. Whether they are older or younger is irrelevant, no guy wants to deal with this. Women are so picky and always think the worst of guys so then, you should grab your little attitude and approach guys instead of waiting for them to talk to you and stop complaining that they won't talk to you..

Guys! NEVER EVER! Approach a girl with a hat or sunglasses in store. Holy F, they chew me up every time. Last hat one told me I was weird ass stalker creep. Bittcchh! Yes, I've gone through times like this frequently! The best advice I saw would be to do the headphones. It gives you a "I don't want to be approached" feel and you can ignore them if they talk to you!

Try wearing a somewhat loose fitting hoodie, jeans, and styling your hair in an inconspicuous manner, simple ponytail might work.
